Tonight's episode of WWE Evolve kicked off with Brinley Reece taking on Zayda Steel, while Jackson Drake watched from the ringside couch. This match felt like a real fight. Zayda took control early, but Brinley fought back with a series of boots from the corner, a shoulder tackle, a spinebuster, and a smooth acrobatic lariat. She sealed the victory with her finisher, "Breeces to Pieces". After the match, Swipe Right helped Zayda back to the locker room.
Backstage, Kylie Rae shared a moment with Zara Zacher. Feeling nervous ahead of her match against Wendy Choo, Kylie remained positive as Zara offered her support and encouragement.
Our next match featured Luca Crusifino taking on Keanu Carver in a hard-hitting battle with some back and forth at the start. As Luca leaped into the ring, Keanu caught him mid-air draped over the top Keanu connected with a big right hand, immediately taking control. Luca found an opening when Keanu missed a knee strike, dodging out of the corner and building momentum, nearly scoring a pinfall. However, Keanu regained control, delivered a massive "pounce" for a near fall, and sealed the victory with a powerslam for the pin. This match kept my attention from start to finish—great fight from both guys!
Dani Palmer and Kali Armstrong appear in a pre-taped promo addressing their recent loss and the moment when Dani accidentally struck Kali with a corkscrew moonsault to the outside. Dani tries to keep things cordial, but Kali brings the fire, clearly not letting it slide. Tension is boiling between the two, and this situation is far from over.
Maysn Holiday vs. Chantel Monroe started strong, with Maysn controlling the early moments of the match. Chantel fought back, but Maysn’s power soon became a factor early, nearly securing a pinfall. However, Chantel turned the tables and eventually rolled Maysn up with a schoolgirl grabbing the tights for a not so clean three-count victory. This was a match, not bad but not as captivating. After the match, Chuey Martinez interviewed Chantel, who cut a confident promo abouher two straight wins. She declared herself the "Reflection of Perfection", delivering some excellent mic work on WWE Evolve.
The first half of our Co-Main Event kicked off with some serious hard-hitting action, arguably even more intense than Keanu vs. Luca. Harlem Lewis dominated early, punishing Joe Coffey and drawing loud boos from the crowd. Joe fought out of a headlock, countering with a back body drop before an energetic sequence of crisscrossing and shoulder tackles. With momentum on his side, he landed a crossbody from the top rope for a near fall. A second crossbody sent both men crashing over the top rope to the floor. As they brawled outside, Joe threw a left hand but smashed it against the ring post. Back in the ring, Harlem capitalized on the injury, quickly turning things around and pinning Joe for the win.
Now for our closer—the second half of our Co-Main Event, Kylie Rae vs. Wendy Choo in a match that just felt right. This was a perfect blend of solid wrestling, unique moments, and pure entertainment, making for an incredibly enjoyable bout. Wendy controlled the action early, scoring a near fall before locking in a rest hold. Kylie fought back, earning two near falls of her own before landing a superkick "Sky Day Special" on a dazed Wendy who was on her knees. But instead of staying down, Wendy slowly sat up, flashing a creepy smile. Determined, Kylie declared, "I'm not afraid of you, Wendy Choo!" before delivering another kick and locking in a crossface. Wendy escaped, quickly countering with a full nelson slam and transitioning into "The Dirt Nap", her martial arts-inspired headlock finisher. Kylie struggled but ultimately faded, giving Wendy the submission victory. This was an awesome match—fast-paced, hard-hitting, and technically brilliant. I was completely immersed from start to finish. After the match, Wendy approached Kylie, still wincing on the mat, and tossed her towel over the camera, bringing this week’s episode of WWE Evolve to an end.
