WWE NXT Vengeance Day 2025 Spoilers and Predictions |
Triple Threat for the NXT Championship: Oba Femi (c) vs. Austin Theory vs Grayson Waller
I'm still thinking Trick Williams is going to get inserted into this match to turn it into a Fatal 4-Way instead, unless the whole plan is to just stall Trick/Femi and do that at Stand & Deliver. In any case, I think it's interesting they decided the best option for Vengeance Day was A-Town Down Under in a Triple Threat match. Ganging up on a guy the size of Oba Femi when you're jobbers is one thing, but those two should be able to beat him, and yet, they won't.
PREDICTION: Oba Femi retains.
Fatal 4-Way Match for the NXT Women's Championship: Giulia (c) vs. Bayley vs. Cora Jade vs. Roxanne Perez
Bayley and Roxanne Perez get in each other's ways. Cora Jade is there to take the pin. Giulia just won this title on New Year's Evil. It'd be crazy if she lost it, particularly to someone on the main roster or someone who should be on the main roster going forward. It's time for Perez to move on, and Giulia should keep this for a while longer.
PREDICTION: Giulia retains.Singles Match for the NXT Women's North American Championship: Fallon Henley (c) vs. Stephanie Vaquer
Well the whole Shotzi thing was certainly a way to stall this for a few more weeks, wasn't it? Part of me thinks Henley can't drop the title until she loses it to Jacy Jayne, as there's been too much tension between those two for them to not come to blows at some point. But they've also done too much to build up Vaquer, and I think if she loses this, there isn't really much of a direction for her. Since she can win it and Jayne can turn on Henley after, that's the safer bet to accomplish both tasks.
NXT Tag Team Championship Match: Axiom & Nathan Frazer (c) vs. Josh Briggs & Yoshiki Inamura
I can't picture Briggs and Inamura winning these titles. They'll put up a good fight, but Fraxiom comes out on top. I wouldn't be shocked if Briggs turns on Inamura after the match, actually.
PREDICTION: Fraxiom retains.
Strap Match: Eddy Thorpe vs. Trick Williams
Strap matches are not all that particularly fun most of the time, but once in a while, they can pull off something cool. Hopefully, this is more of the latter. Frankly, I'm surprised Thorpe is still getting all this attention, as I thought this feud would be done by now, but without a doubt, it has to end here, and Williams needs to get that one-on-one rematch with Oba Femi at Stand & Deliver.
PREDICTION: Trick Williams wins.
Je'Von Evans vs. Ethan Page
The story here is that Evans had to sign a waiver to excuse WWE of any responsibility for his further injuries, and since he's going into this match as the underdog, I do feel like Page SHOULD win this. I'm curious why they didn't go with a gimmick match, but maybe they figured they'll stretch this out just a little more and do that later.
PREDICTION: Je'Von Evans wins? Flip a coin. I don't know about this one. Either guy can win.
