WWE RAW RESULTS: June 17, 2024
- Seth Rollins kicked off the show with a surprise return, appearing on WWE TV for the first time since WrestleMania XL. He began to share his aspirations for getting back into the World Heavyweight Championship picture before being interrupted by the champion himself, Damian Priest. Priest offered Rollins a championship match at Money in the Bank, which Rollins accepted.
- Earlier in the day, Chad Gable approached Adam Pearce for a rematch against Sami Zayn. Pearce said that he had the perfect opponent for him. The mystery opponent was revealed to be Braun Strowman.
- Braun Strowman defeated Chad Gable by pinfall. Following the match, Gable pulled the Alpha Academy into the ring, throwing Maxxine Dupri's crutch out of the ring and slapping Akira Tozawa across the face. In response, Otis threw Gable into the turnbuckle.
- Finn Balor told Damian Priest that he took Liv Morgan's hotel key to discard of it. Balor teased winning the Money in the Bank briefcase and becoming World Heavyweight Champion before saying he would cash in on the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.
- Triple Threat Money in the Bank Qualifying Match - Iyo Sky defeated Kiana James and Zelina Vega by pinfall.
- Sami Zayn said he is moving on from Chad Gable but that it will be hard to move on from the Alpha Academy. He said he would defend the Intercontinental Championship against anybody before Bron Breakker came out to say that he wants the IC title. Sheamus would join the two in the ring and say that he also is coming after the title, still seeking to become the Ultimate Grand Slam Champion. Zayn said that Breakker and Sheamus could fight later on to decide who's next.
- Carlito defeated Dragon Lee by pinfall.
- Drew McIntyre came out to CM Punk chants and said "Screw this company. I quit."
- Katana Chance and Kayden Carter defeated Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai and Kairi Sane) by pinfall.
- Bron Breakker vs Sheamus ends in a no-contest due to interference by Ludwig Kaiser.
- Triple Threat Money in the Bank Qualifying Match - Jey Uso defeated Finn Balor and Rey Mysterio by pinfall. Uso is one of six MITB qualifiers.
- While Jey Uso was celebrating his win, the lights cut to black and the fireflies came out. A door appeared on stage, the one we saw when Bray Wyatt returned. Uncle Howdy and the gang have arrived.
AUTHOR'S REVIEW / HOT TAKES / THOUGHTS:
- I'm glad Seth is back on TV because two months has felt like two years. I'm intrigued to see what he does next. That was quick. A championship match at MITB? I smell something fishy.
- Finally Otis fights back against Gable. Perc Gable incoming with the Creeds.
- Uncle Howdy is here after long-awaited time. And he's brought some friends.
