Welcome to another edition of POWER RANKINGS from Smark Out Moment! Each week, we will break down the current roster and examine who has gone up the WWE hierarchy and who has unfortunately taken a step down the ladder. Factoring in things such as wins and losses, suspensions, injuries, making a name for oneself, being humiliated, and more, who is at the top of the food chain and who needs to make up some ground next week?
As this is the first edition of the Power Rankings for 2024/2025, everyone's rankings will commence based on their results at WrestleMania and the week following this. This is the starting point for the year ahead, and in a year's time we'll find out who will follow in Judgment Day's footsteps as the Power Rankings Champion!
Here is the key code for the rankings shorthand when referencing their position in relation to the previous week:
NR = Not included in last week's rankings at all
+ Green = the number of moves up in the rankings compared to last week
- Red = the number of moves down in the rankings compared to last week
Honorable Mentions = five superstars who just barely missed the cut
10. Trick Williams [NR]
Trick Williams' victory over his former best friend Carmelo Hayes in the main event of the most highly attended NXT show of all time earns him a spot on the first Power Rankings of this season – and possibly sets him up for a future NXT Championship run.9. LA Knight [NR]
In his first-ever WrestleMania match, LA Knight scored a noteworthy win over a former WWE Champion in AJ Styles. Then, Knight stepped up on SmackDown to defeat Bobby Lashley and Santos Escobar to advance to the number one contender's match to crown Cody Rhodes' first title challenger. His opponent? AJ Styles.8. Jey Uso [NR]
While the Battle of the Usos will sadly go down in history as one of the most underwhelming WrestleMania matches of all time, Jey Uso did pick up the win over his twin brother Jimmy. Riding this momentum, Jey overcame Drew McIntyre, Ricochet and Bronson Reed on Raw to earn the first shot at Damian Priest's World Heavyweight Championship.7. Ilja Dragunov [NR]
Despite a strong and fair effort from Tony D'Angelo at NXT Stand & Deliver, Ilja Dragunov emerged once again as the NXT Champion, getting closer to 200 days atop the roster.6. Logan Paul [NR]
The dual threats of Randy Orton and Kevin Owens were not enough to end the reign of Logan Paul, retaining his United States Championship at WrestleMania XL thanks in part to an assist from his fellow YouTuber IShowSpeed.5. Roxanne Perez [NR]
After months of missing out on championship opportunities, Roxanne Perez finally regained the NXT Women's Championship she never lost after beating Lyra Valkyria at Stand & Deliver. She then successfully defended her newly won belt on Tuesday over Natalya.4. Sami Zayn [NR]
The record-breaking Intercontinental Championship reign of Gunther ended at WrestleMania XL, as Sami Zayn summoned that true underdog spirit to win the title once again. On Raw, he teamed with newfound ally Chad Gable to defeat the other two-thirds of Imperium.3. Bayley [NR]
For the first time since 2020, Bayley is a world champion in WWE. The Royal Rumble winner dethroned her former Damage CTRL stablemate Iyo Sky to become the WWE Women's Champion at WrestleMania XL.2. Cody Rhodes [NR]
The story finally finished for Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania XL. Despite tasting defeat on Night 1 in the blockbuster tag team match, Rhodes recovered thanks to his avengers cancelling out the Bloodline, ending Roman Reigns' 3+ year run as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.1. Judgment Day [NR]
WrestleMania wasn't a perfect weekend for Judgment Day – they lost the Unified Tag Team Championship and Dominik Mysterio once again tasted defeat to his father. But, when you walk away with two world championships, with Rhea Ripley retaining against Becky Lynch and Damian Priest cashing in to capture the World Heavyweight Championship, you secure top spot on the Power Rankings.HONORABLE MENTIONS
Oba Femi - The upstart North American Champion Oba Femi continued his burgeoning success by successfully defending his title against Dijak and Josh Briggs at Stand & Deliver.
A-Town Down Under - With the unified Tag Team Championships now split, A-Town Down Under took home the SmackDown titles in the WrestleMania XL Ladder Match.
Awesome Truth - However, it was the old-school duo of R-Truth & The Miz who secured the Raw half of the Tag Team Championships at the conclusion of the Ladder Match.
Jade Cargill - Jade Cargill picked up victories at WrestleMania, on Raw, and on SmackDown this week, hitting less than ten moves combined in the process.
Drew McIntyre - It may have only lasted five minutes, but Drew McIntyre did become World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania XL with his win over Seth Rollins.
