THOUGHTS: This was a lot of fun. I see some people hating it, but I love the Royal Rumble matches and I enjoyed the surprises. I'm shocked Becky Lynch and Jade Cargill weren't in it. It's gotta suck for Elektra Lopez, Blair Davenport, and the others on the main roster who were snubbed. I'm very surprised Roxanne Perez got the runner-up spot.

2-Out-of-3 Falls Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship: #DIY (c) vs. Motor City Machine Guns

RESULT: #DIY scored the first fall, MCMG scored the second, and #DIY got the third.
THOUGHTS: Good match, but not as great as I was hoping it would be. They had a tall task to follow up a Royal Rumble.

Ladder Match for the WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Kevin Owens

RESULT: Cody Rhodes retained
THOUGHTS: Solid, but if you're looking for a true "ladder match" classic, I wouldn't recommend this compared to HBK vs Razor Ramon and a ton of others. As a standalone title bout, though, this was fun.

THOUGHTS: I'm very surprised Jey won. No idea what WWE is planning there. Part of me is impressed they went with an outside pick, but another part of me thinks this is a big mistake to just do a Gunther rematch when we JUST saw it last week, and there are bigger fish to fry. I don't think Jey is the right guy to beat Gunther, either. Very curious. But I enjoyed this match a lot. This was fun.
