WWE NXT No Mercy 2024 Spoilers and Predictions

Singles Match for the NXT Championship: Ethan Page (c) vs. Joe Hendry

Joe Hendry's super popular right now, bringing in a TNA Wrestling talent to compete for the title is a smart move to freshen things up and bring some different attention to the pay-per-view, and it'll give Page some heat when he cheats to beat Hendry, as we know that Hendry isn't going to win this title. It'd be worthy of a major pop if he did, and I wouldn't be opposed to it, to be honest, but it just isn't going to happen.

PREDICTION: Ethan Page retains.

Singles Match for the NXT Women's Championship: Roxanne Perez (c) vs. Jaida Parker

Never mind about my "Jaida Parker won't win this title shot as she's a heel and it would be weird if they continued to book Perez against heels" prediction, right? I wonder why they're doing that. Perez is DEFINITIVELY a heel, and yet, they seem to be fixated on having her fight other heels. Odd.

No matter what that reasoning is, Roxanne Perez isn't losing this title. Far too much has been teased about her going up against Giulia and/or Stephanie Vaquer. Frankly, I'm not entirely sure why neither of them are on the roster yet and ready to fight for this show. I guess visa issues are in the way. But it still would have made more sense to me than going with this "someone who's never had a chance" idea, least of all giving that victory to Parker, too.

Perez retains, and one of the other two names pops up after to have a stare down with her and gets set up to take the title at NXT Halloween Havoc, most likely.

PREDICTION: Roxanne Perez retains.

Singles Match for the NXT Women's North American Championship: Kelani Jordan (c) vs. Wendy Choo

I was expecting this to turn into a Triple Threat to include Lola Vice, or possibly even a Fatal 4-Way to throw Tatum Paxley in there. As it is, I'm glad Wendy Choo is getting a title shot, but I don't think they've done enough to make this a must-see contest.

I say give the title to Choo. They won't, but that's where I'd lean. Jordan has had her fair share of defenses and if Perez is going to keep feuding with heels, we could use a heel champion who actually fights babyfaces.

PREDICTION: Kelani Jordan retains.

Singles Match for the NXT North American Championship: Oba Femi (c) vs. Tony D'Angelo

Curiously, moving Tony D'Angelo away from the NXT Heritage Cup picture and putting him with Oba Femi felt like an odd switcharoo from the past few months, but I'm down for it. D'Angelo was never a Heritage Cup guy, from my perspective. He's much better suited for the North American Championship.

Unfortunately for him, he's not going to beat Femi to capture that gold.

Femi is far too big and powerful, and has been treated with too much star power to go down quite yet. D'Angelo got his big moment when he challenged Femi and laid him out. That was to make him look like a threat so that when Femi puts him down, it won't be a one-sided affair.

I don't know who is next in line to be champion after Femi, but I'd bet a considerable amount it isn't D'Angelo. Then again, I've been wrong about him before here and there.

PREDICTION: Oba Femi retains.

Tag Team Match for the NXT Tag Team Championship: Chase University's Andre Chase & Ridge Holland (c) vs. The Supersonic Duo (Axiom & Nathan Frazer)

I can't think of any rational excuse to give the titles back to Axiom and Frazer in this scenario. Yes, it could lead to frustration within Chase U and the full-fledged heel turn of Ridge Holland, but not only have they seemingly moved past that already with him just being a babyface who isn't cheating anymore, it also means we're just back to square one with The Supersonic Duo. Surely, if Chase U is going to lose the titles quickly, they'd be better off dropping them to a different team, right?

Maybe, that means WWE does plan on having the titles change hands, and that's why they felt they needed to do this rematch. Otherwise, this is such a waste of space on the card. These two teams aren't bad by any means, but to put the title change on television weeks before and have a do-nothing rematch on the premium live event is such an odd, self-defeating strategy. Nobody will be buzzed about this.

PREDICTION: Chase U retains.

Singles Match: Wes Lee vs. Zachary Wentz

It's good these two are getting a chance to have a match at a pay-per-view to tell this story, rather than being relegated to NXT television. Granted, a match on TV is better than nothing, but it just doesn't have the same overall impact.

The story here is that Wentz is a screw-up and Lee has cast him aside in order to focus entirely on his aspirations. Meanwhile, Wentz points out that Lee kept almost quitting, and is basically just a jerk.

Overall, since Lee is the actual NXT Superstar and wants to send Wentz back to TNA Wrestling, it makes way more sense to me if Lee wins. WWE stars are victorious over TNA wrestlers more often than not, and Lee is the one they're invested in for the future, not Wentz. The only way I can see it going the other way is if this feud is going to continue, possibly on Impact, but I doubt it.

PREDICTION: Wes Lee wins.

This page will be altered on a regular basis to reflect changes to the show including any new matches added to the lineup, adjustments to the card, revised predictions and any other information about this event. Stay tuned for the latest updates!
