WWE Money in the Bank 2024 Spoilers |
Singles Match for the World Heavyweight Championship: Damian Priest (c) vs. Seth Rollins
I could see a scenario where Rollins wins the belt and fights Gunther at SummerSlam. However, I don't think Gunther is losing that match, unless there's some sort of wack ass plan to have that end in controversy so they can stretch it out to Bash in Berlin and he wins the title there. Even so, Rollins winning the title just to lose it so quickly feels odd to me.
Therefore, I have to lean toward Priest retaining. I don't know how that will happen, but maybe, someone starts a feud with Rollins. Maybe it's CM Punk, for all we know, even though that would be diverting from the Drew McIntyre stuff. But if Drew "quit" WWE, then it'll depend on how long he's out before he returns.
Update: There's now a stipulation that if Rollins loses, he can't challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship as long as Priest holds it. Conversely, if Priest loses, he has to abandon The Judgment Day. Since Finn Balor and JD McDonagh just won the tag titles, there doesn't seem to be a ploy yet to have someone usurp leadership over Priest, and
Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Andrade vs. Carmelo Hayes vs. Chad Gable vs. Jey Uso vs. LA Knight vs. Drew McIntyre
Andrade isn't getting it. Carmelo Hayes would be wild. Chad Gable doesn't strike me as someone they'd give the briefcase to if they didn't even want to give him the intercontinental title. By default, I'm assuming this is Jey Uso's to win, even if I'll admit that I don't have any idea how that will come into play. I can't see Jey becoming a world champion, either.
By the way, LA Knight is going to look like he's about to win, only for Logan Paul to come out and screw him over, setting up a SummerSlam match between the two for the United States Championship. That is, unless they save that for Drew McIntyre getting screwed over by CM Punk. I don't think they'll do two of those spots in the same match.
PREDICTION: Jey Uso wins.
Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Chelsea Green vs. Iyo Sky vs. Lyra Valkyria vs. Zoey Stark vs. Naomi vs. Tiffany Stratton
Every single woman who has ever held the briefcase has successfully cashed in. Maybe it's time for a loser. If that's the case, Chelsea Green is the underdog to watch out for.
However, I'm much more leaning toward Tiffany Stratton. I could see Stratton stealing the belt from Bayley at SummerSlam when she fights Nia Jax, then dropping it to Charlotte Flair, who fights Jade Cargill at WrestleMania.
Singles Match for the Intercontinental Championship: Sami Zayn (c) vs. Bron Breakker
Being in Canada, I had thought months ago that this would be the event we'd see Sami Zayn win the Money in the Bank contract and potentially capture a world title down the line. For him to have come around to this as the intercontinental champion instead was not something I pictured.
Now that he's up against Breakker, I have to assume he's losing the title, too. Breakker's on too much of a roll and he'd get some great heat for beating Sami in Toronto.
Six-Man Tag Team Match: Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens and Randy Orton vs. The Bloodline
The belt isn't on the line. This is an opportunity for The Bloodline to be victorious. That way, they can set up Solo Sikoa challenging Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam, wherein The American Nightmare will retain.
