WWE Heel Turns & Face Turns in 2024 List of Superstars Who Turned Babyface or Heel This Year | Smark Out Moment

This list will keep track of all the official babyface turns and heel turns that happen in WWE for the year 2024.

At the beginning of this year, I've made some predictions for who I think will end up turning face or heel at some point. I won't be altering these predictions at all throughout the entire year, but I will be adding some revised guesses quarterly around the big events, so it'll be interesting to see who I'm right and wrong about. Anybody who I'm right about, I'll strike out.

KEEP IN MIND: When a babyface attacks another babyface, this is almost always a heel turn. When a heel attacks another heel, it doesn't hold the same meaning. Villains turning on villains does not make the beaten down person suddenly a hero, but the actions that come out of that dictate whether a turn happens or not.

Also, sometimes, I update the heel and face index, but not as often as the updates you see below.

  • Leading up to January - Joe Gacy had turned babyface throughout the last month or so, seemingly clarified on January 16th by starting a feud with Dijak.
  • January 5 - Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits are just back to being babyfaces, it seems. This might have been an internal thing prior to this, but WWE's been flippant with them.
  • Circa January - Tatum Paxley keeps acting like a babyface helper for Lyra Valkyria. Whether or not that eventually transforms into a true face turn remains to be seen. (Update: April 9th, she turned on Valkyria)
  • Roxanne Perez slowly but surely turned heel from the end of 2023 into March
  • January 16 - Oba Femi established himself as a heel by refusing to continue the North American Championship open challenge and badmouthing people, including rejecting Dragon Lee's request for a rematch.
  • January 23? - Josh Briggs turned heel on NXT; he was later just a babyface, so it's unclear if this was internally an actual heel turn, or if it wasn't ever treated as such
  • February 2 - Bayley turned babyface
  • February 4 - Carmelo Hayes turned heel at NXT Vengeance Day
  • ??? - The Wolf Dogs team of Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin have been steadily booked more on the babyface side since getting together, but haven't seemed to have a full definitive turn moment yet
  • February 8 - The Rock turned heel at the WrestleMania 40 press conference
  • February 9 - Dakota Kai seems to have turned babyface on SmackDown by aligning with Bayley over the rest of Damage CTRL never mind, she didn't turn
  • February 9 - Ashante "Thee" Adonis is now in a tag team with Cedric Alexander and both are likely being positioned as babyfaces
  • February 24 - AJ Styles cemented his heel turn by attacking LA Knight inside the Elimination Chamber
  • March 5 - Candice LeRae turned heel on Raw, cemented on March 11th when she insulted Maxxine Dupri's dead brother and bullied her
  • April 6 - Ridge Holland turned heel at NXT Stand & Deliver by hitting Joe Gacy with a steel chair and aligning himself with Shawn Spears; he would later slowly transition into a suspicious babyface role of sorts, teaming with Chase U, but cheating for them to win and such, making it unclear if he's internally considered an actual babyface or just a heel in the same sense Jacy Jayne was with Chase U and Thea Hail
  • April 12 - The start of Jimmy Uso's babyface turn started on SmackDown after he was laid out by Tama Tonga. Uso returned at Bad Blood on October 5th to solidify that babyface turn.
  • April 15 - Indi Hartwell has decided to become a heel to go along with Candice LeRae's recent turn
  • April 15 - Chad Gable turned heel, attacking Sami Zayn after their Intercontinental Championship match on Raw.
  • April 26 - Carlito turned heel after being revealed as Dragon Lee's attacker from several weeks ago
  • April 30 - Fallon Henley turned heel on NXT, striking Thea Hail after her match for some reason
  • April/May - I don't know quite when to pinpoint an official turn, but Liv Morgan transitioned from angry babyface to tweener to heel over the course of these months.
  • May 20 - Bron Breakker, if he was ever officially classified as a babyface recently, seems to be back to being a heel based on his continued beating of Kale Dixon on Raw.
  • June 11 - Wendy Choo is now a heel after making her return from injury
  • June 17 - Dexter Lumis, Joe Gacy, Nikki Cross, Erick Rowan, and Bo Dallas/Uncle Howdy are all babyfaces as part of The Wyatt Sicks. Some were faces prior, while others were turned in this segment, so to speak.
  • July 8 - After weeks of stalling, Sonya Deville is now teaming with Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark. It appears based on the July 15th episode of Raw that that has meant a heel turn for Baszler and Stark, rather than a face turn for Deville, as they triple-teamed Zelina Vega and were in opposition of pure babyfaces Lyra Valkyria, Katana Chance and Kayden Carter as Pat McAfee said "these three are a problem."
  • July 15 - Pete Dunne turned heel on Sheamus on Raw
  • July 15 - The Creed Brothers turned heel on Raw by joining Chad Gable and attacking Bo Dallas
  • July 16 - Lola Vice seemingly has been on a babyface (or at least tweener) turn since her NXT Battleground match with Roxanne Perez, more so solidified on this episode of NXT with her change in mannerisms and speech, as well as opposing heels and aligning with babyfaces
  • August 3 - While no "turn" happened in their own actions at SummerSlam, by proxy of their recent actions leading up to it and the clear split of The Judgment Day, Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley will assuredly be babyfaces going forward
  • August 3 - Roman Reigns turned babyface by helping Cody Rhodes against Solo Sikoa at SummerSlam
  • August 6 - Wes Lee turned heel on NXT by attacking Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel after MSK had lost a tag title opportunity
  • August 12 - Ivy Nile turned heel on Raw
  • August 13 - Wren Sinclair officially turned heel on NXT to help Charlie Dempsey cheat to win the Heritage Cup
  • September 1 - Ridge Holland turned heel at NXT No Mercy by attacking Chase University members following their tag title loss
  • September 3 - Tatum Paxley seems to have been transitioning into a babyface role once Wendy Choo attacked her, but any doubts about that were tossed aside on this episode of NXT, when she realigned with Lyra Valkyria
  • (PENDING) September 3 - Jaida Parker is likely a babyface going forward as she feuds with Fatal Influence / never mind, as she left Lola Vice to fend for herself and established herself to not actually be turning
  • September 30 - Bron Breakker could be a babyface now after showing respect to Jey Uso on Raw the week after losing the Intercontinental Championship / never mind, as he just attacked Uso the next week and undid that turn, strangely
  • September 30 - The Miz turned heel on R-Truth during Raw, breaking up Awesome Truth
  • October 4 - AJ Styles returned to SmackDown as a babyface
  • October 5 - Raquel Rodriguez turned heel at Bad Blood by attacking Rhea Ripley
  • October 5 - Kevin Owens turned heel at Bad Blood by attacking Cody Rhodes after the event in the parking lot
  • October 12 - Nikkita Lyons returned with what quickly became a heel turn, confirmed on October 29th for her being the one who attacked Adriana Rizzo the previous week
  • October 14 - War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) returned as babyfaces
  • November 11 - Iyo Sky has firmly been positioned as a babyface for WarGames, implying the rest of Damage CTRL will be in that alignment going forward as well
  • December 2 - Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods turned heel on Big E during the 10 year celebration of The New Day
  • December 6 - Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa turned heel on SmackDown
  • December 10 - Eddy Thorpe turned heel when he revealed he faked his attacking to avoid the Iron Survivor Challenge
