WWE Crown Jewel 2024 Spoilers

Men's Crown Jewel Championship Match: Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther

The men's world champions on Raw and SmackDown will face off to earn this bragging rights style trophy championship. Neither belt is on the line. It's a perfect means to have Gunther get a win over Cody, after failing to beat him in the Royal Rumble.

Granted, there's no guarantee it will be these two in the match. Gunther does have a title defense against Sami Zayn, Rhodes could lose his title (but I doubt it). For now, I'm going to assume both of these guys are keeping their belts and this will be essentially what would have happened at Survivor Series if WWE were still booking that with the Raw vs. SmackDown setup instead of WarGames.

PREDICTION: Gunther wins.

Women's Crown Jewel Championship Match: Liv Morgan vs. Nia Jax

Just with the men's match, these champions are not completely set in stone yet. But unlike the men's scenario, I don't anticipate we'll see both champions retaining heading into this event.

I cannot imagine we'll see Liv Morgan against Nia Jax, nor will we see Liv Morgan against Tiffany Stratton. Rhea Ripley will somehow be booked in another match against Morgan and will capture the Women's World Championship so she can go up against Nia Jax, or Charlotte Flair will somehow come back and already beat Nia Jax. The former seems way more believable to me.

Until we know for sure who is in this match, though, my prediction will have to remain a flexible one.

PREDICTION: n/a at the moment

Bronson Reed vs. Seth Rollins

For months, we've talked about how Reed was supposed to lose a match to Rollins at Elimination Chamber, and when Rollins would come back, he'd get that win to offset how Reed took him out of competition. This is that. I fully expect Seth to just win and this feud to not last much longer than Survivor Series, if it even lasts that long.

PREDICTION: Seth Rollins wins.

Triple Threat Match for the United States Championship: LA Knight (c) vs. Andrade vs. Carmelo Hayes

I was thinking Hayes would be the next champion, but I don't know if now is the proper time. It wouldn't shock me if Knight retained here by pinning him, but then, Hayes got one more match with Andrade and came out the victor of that best of seven series to try to compensate. Then again, if it isn't Hayes who wins the US title next, who is it? Jacob Fatu?

PREDICTION: Carmelo Hayes wins.

Fatal 4-Way Match for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship: Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair (c) vs. Damage CTRL (Kairi Sane and Iyo Sky) vs. Meta-Four (Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson) vs. Chelsea Green and Piper Niven

No way the titles change hands here. Not a chance.

PREDICTION: Bianca and Belair and Jade Cargill retain.

Kevin Owens vs. Randy Orton

Hm. This is tough. I think their feud could very well continue into Survivor Series, and I don't think either will be involved in the Bloodline match, so that will keep them busy. If that's the case, I think it's easier for them to continue the story with Owens doing something to cheat to win, and Orton looking for more revenge, rather than Owens shifting his focus entirely to Orton.

Then again, Owens winning could also set up Cody Rhodes fighting him for the WWE Championship at Survivor Series in a match to round out that story, too, since it looks like The Bloodline Civil War match is going to be 4 on 4 with Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, and Sami Zayn, rather than incorporating a fifth and throwing Cody Rhodes in there. I don't think Cody's going to drop out of Survivor Series and NOT be on the card, so a match with Owens makes the most sense.

Those arguments are all pro-Owens here. I don't know if there's a pro-Orton argument.

PREDICTION: Kevin Owens wins.

Six-Man Tag Team Match: Roman Reigns and The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso) vs. The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and/or Jacob Fatu)

If I were booking this, I would have Solo Sikoa on the outside interfere and cost the babyfaces. Then, after the match, Sami Zayn would come out to help them fight off The Bloodline.

PREDICTION: The Bloodline wins.
