WWE Clash at the Castle 2024 Spoilers |
World Heavyweight Championship: Damian Priest (c) vs. Drew McIntyre
Considering Gunther is getting a title shot for SummerSlam, which has to be for the World Heavyweight Championship, according to how WWE has advertised it, I think we're looking at Damian Priest turning babyface over the course of the next few months.
He retains the title here due to some sort of interference from CM Punk. Money in the Bank is either a rematch, something with Braun Strowman, or with Finn Balor. Then, Gunther beats Priest at SummerSlam, and maybe McIntyre and Punk have a grudge match there in Cleveland.
PREDICTION: Damian Priest wins.
Singles Match for the WWE Women's Championship: Bayley (c) vs. Piper Niven
No way Piper Niven wins. She's here just to give Bayley someone to beat, and the only reason she in particular is fighting Bayley is because this event is taking place in Scotland. That's as simple as it is. Bayley retains after Niven controls most of the match.
PREDICTION: Bayley wins.
Singles Match for the Intercontinental Championship: Sami Zayn (c) vs. Chad Gable
As this story continues to hover around Alpha Academy hesitantly sticking to Chad Gable, I still keep thinking the only way this makes any sense is if Otis, Akira Tozawa and Maxxine Dupri choose to stand up for themselves, only for Gable to have enlisted the help of The Creed Brothers to be his new allies, and that Brutus and Julius also make their turn at a time when they help Gable win the belt.
If Zayn comes out retaining this again, this story has to end with Gable just losing and moving on to something else. They can't just keep stretching this out and giving Gable shot after shot without overstaying their welcome and thinning this storyline into nothingness.

I Quit Match for the Undisputed WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. AJ Styles
Revisiting this feud isn't the most bombastic option WWE could have done, but I'm down to see what they do here, especially with the I Quit stipulation. A lot of people are already bored with Cody as champion. I'm not in that boat. I'd rather see him fighting people like this than to just wait another couple months to see Roman Reigns win a match by interference.
But this should be the end of this storyline, I'll say that. Styles obviously shouldn't win the title, nor should he get another shot after this.

Triple Threat Tag Team Match for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship: Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill (c) vs. The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn) vs. Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark
So WWE gives Baszler and Stark a win in a No. 1 contenders match, only to then go "Oh, crap, Scotland is coming up. We need to put Fyre and Dawn in there. Uh...let's just put both teams in it?"
Belair and Cargill aren't dropping these belts, unless the game plan is for the other two teams to be involved in the decision to avoid having either of the champs take the pin. It's possible, but I lean more toward the titles not changing hands at all, based on the lack of enthusiasm behind either of these pushes. I can only imagine Baszler and Stark win if Sonya Deville gets involved.
This page will be altered on a regular basis to reflect changes to the show including any new matches added to the lineup, adjustments to the card, revised predictions and any other information about this event. Stay tuned for the latest updates!
