The following are my predictions for the 2024 ROH Final Battle PPV. Check back for Ring of Honor Final Battle 2024 results and review coverage here when the time comes.
ROH Final Battle 2024 Spoilers |
Major Note: I flat out don't watch Ring of Honor in 2024. I know nothing about these feud or anything going on in ROH beyond a quick glance and some general refreshers once in a while. Do not place your bets based on my predictions! The only two reasons I even still have this page up, to be honest, is because I published it on January 1st and because I want to give people a chance to leave their own comments.
ROH World Championship Match: Chris Jericho (c) vs. Matt Cardona
Matt Cardona seems like a great choice to be heading up Ring of Honor if they weren't actively looking for a television deal and specifically put the belt on Chris Jericho to help out with that.
My guess is Jericho retains by the skin of his teeth, Cardona's made to look like he could've and should've won it, and they either run it back some time after ROH's future is settled, or they'll have already moved on to something else by then.
Update from 12/18 - I'm starting to think Cardona might actually win this, actually. Maybe I'm just psyching myself out of my own logic, but if he's signed a contract (which I don't know about), then he should definitely be the champion. I don't know. Don't bet based on my ramblings for ROH stuff as I don't watch the show.
PREDICTION: Chris Jericho retains.
ROH Women's World Television Championship Match: Red Velvet (c) vs. Leyla Hirsch
On a casual whim, though, I'll say Red Velvet retains the title unless the rest of the card fills out and it looks like there will be a number of other title changes that will take place and they're just doing a big reset.
Texas Bullrope Match for the ROH World Tag Team Championship: The Sons of Texas (Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara) (c) vs. The Righteous (Vincent and Dutch)
Without having any investment in this, I think it's a little weird that Dustin Rhodes holds both sets of tag titles. That's been a running theme of the past 2 years, where Tony Khan likes to have multi-tag champions. I don't like it, but I'm not booking this, so my opinion ultimately doesn't matter. But I could certainly see a situation where The Righteous win the belts and maybe there's a feud coming out of this from Sammy Guevara reverting back to being a heel.
Singles Match: Jay Lethal vs. Q.T. Marshall
QT Marshall is here to lose all the time, isn't he? Plus, he's going up against someone who should be treated like a big deal in ROH.
Survival of the Fittest Match for the ROH World Television Championship: Brian Cage (c) vs. Willie Mack vs. Komander vs. Mark Davis vs. AR Fox vs. Blake Christian
Anyone's guess if the title changes hands, but I don't think it will. Having Brian Cage sporting a belt as part of The Don Callis Family is a good visual. But I could be missing something where they've been setting something up and that it might not make any difference at all if Cage isn't holding gold, since Konosuke Takeshita is international champion.
Pure Wrestling Rules Match for the ROH Pure Championship: Lee Moriarty (c) vs. TBD
Can't really make a prediction without knowing the challenger.
Singles Match for the ROH Women's World Championship: Athena (c) vs. Billie Starkz
It's been a long time coming for Billie Starkz to win the title. If she doesn't, I see no purpose in revisiting this for a third match.
This page will be altered on a regular basis to reflect changes to the show including any new matches added to the lineup, adjustments to the card, revised predictions and any other information about this event. Stay tuned for the latest updates!
