Continental Classic

As I've been suspecting, we're down to Will Ospreay, Kyle Fletcher, Ricochet, and Kazuchika Okada. Called that one. I'll pat myself on the back. Ah-thankyoouuu.

I'm also still keeping my other predictions that I've had from the start, then, and I'll say that Ricochet loses to Okada, Ospreay beats Fletcher, and Ospreay ends up losing to Okada either because Fletcher or Ricochet interferes and screws him over.

PREDICTION: Kazuchika Okada retains his title and wins the tournament.

Singles Match for the Dynamite Diamond Ring: MJF vs. Adam Cole

Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly still have to fight at Winter is Coming to determine who gets this match. I'm assuming it will be Adam Cole, though it wouldn't shock me if Tony Khan wants to drag this out even further to Revolution and O'Reilly has to go first.

PREDICTION: MJF beats O'Reilly, but possibly loses to Cole if that's his opponent.

Singles Match for the AEW International Championship: Konosuke Takeshita (c) vs. Powerhouse Hobbs

This is a great go-to feud. It makes a lot of sense why Hobbs would be a challenger as a former member of The Don Callis Family, along with a huge dude who will pose an intimidating threat. But he's not going to get the job done. Takeshita shouldn't drop the title this fast.

PREDICTION: Konosuke Takeshita retains.

Tijuana Street Fight for the AEW Women's World Championship: Mariah May (c) vs. Thunder Rosa

Obviously, Mariah May isn't dropping the title when they flat out teased another match with Toni Storm to completely undercut Thunder Rosa. What a terrible idea. At least wait until Rosa has lost her match!

PREDICTION: Mariah May wins.

Singles Match for the AEW TBS Championship: Mercedes Moné (c) vs. Kris Statlander

AEW doesn't follow the constant trend WWE has had as of late of "you need to lose your first title match and THEN you can win the belt", but that might very well happen here with Statlander. I had thought they would go from Mercedes to Kamille, but the way that that's been a horrendous story, it may not play out in that fashion. Maybe they get to somewhat do that by having Kamille interfere and cost Mone the title, she drops it to Statlander, feuds with Kamille in the meantime, and by mid-year, Mone is fighting for the AEW Women's World Championship instead, against whoever beats Mariah May.

Or...they had no other people in mind to challenge Mercedes, and Tony Khan is doing the "I just want to see that match again and it's easy to not have to build someone else up in the meantime" booking.

Sadly, I think it's more of the latter.

PREDICTION: Mercedes Mone retains.

Four-Way Match for the AEW World Championship: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Orange Cassidy vs. "Hangman" Adam Page vs. Jay White

I maintain my assessment that Darby Allin is the one who will beat Jon Moxley. As such, Mox has to retain here. Considering all three of the challengers can't get along, that's even more of a reason why they'll come up short.

PREDICTION: Jon Moxley wins
