BUY IN:

  • Deonna Purrazzo defeated Thunder Rosa by pinfall.
  • Trios Match: The Acclaimed defeated Brian Cage and The Gates of Agony by pinfall.

MAIN CARD:

Singles Match for the AEW International Championship: Roderick Strong (c) vs Will Ospreay

RESULT: Will Ospreay won the title by pinfall.
THOUGHTS:
Obviously, this was going to be a good match. And it was. Thumbs up. I liked the bit with Don Callis trying to convince Ospreay to injure Strong with a Tiger Driver, only for Ospreay to choose not to, as well.

Adam Cole came out for a promo that was interrupted by a returning MJF.

Trios Match for the Unified AEW World Trios Championship: The Bang Bang Gang (c) vs. Death Triangle

RESULT: The Bang Bang Gang retained by pinfall.
THOUGHTS:
I honestly missed most of this. I'm still trying to deal with dental surgery and I had to cook dinner. I'm glad Juice Robinson is back, though.

Singles Match for the AEW Women's World Championship: "Timeless" Toni Storm (c) vs Serena Deeb

RESULT: Toni Storm retained by pinfall.
THOUGHTS:
Another "not bad, but nothing at all memorable or worth checking out if you missed it" match. Run of the mill. It was fine.

Orange Cassidy vs. Trent Beretta

RESULT: Orange Cassidy won by pinfall.
THOUGHTS:
This was a very basic segment. It was just a match that OC won with a random pin. Trent was mad after, but nothing happened to push the narrative further than a continuation of what we've already seen, for the most part. This could have been on the pre-show or Dynamite, but if your idea of an ideal AEW event is "the more matches, the better, and I can't get enough in-ring action", then I'm sure that's something that fans would say they just wanted to keep on the card.

Three-Way FTW Rules match for the FTW Championship: Chris Jericho (c) vs. Hook vs. Katsuyori Shibata

RESULT: Chris Jericho retained by pinfall on Shibata.
THOUGHTS:
Fun match. I enjoyed it from start to finish. The dice was a fun touch, as was the interference at the end from Bryan Keith.

IWGP World Heavyweight Championship Eliminator Match: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Konosuke Takeshita

RESULT: Jon Moxley won by pinfall.
THOUGHTS:
Takeshita dominated. The match was good. I'm not sure I would have gone with Mox being injured and taking most of the punishment just to end up winning, but I'm curious where they're going with this idea that Don Callis suggested bringing the chair in and that's what cost Takeshita the match.

Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match for the AEW TNT Championship: Adam Copeland (c) vs. Malakai Black

RESULT: Adam Copeland retained by making Black pass out in a barbed wired assisted submission.
THOUGHTS:
They beat each other up and became bloody messes. Thumbs up. Fun Gangrel appearance, too.

Singles Match for the AEW TBS Championship: Willow Nightingale (c) vs Mercedes Moné

RESULT: Mercedes Moné is your new champion via pinfall.
THOUGHTS:
This went about as expected. Fine enough match. Kris Statlander and Stokely Hathaway turned on Willow Nightingale. It crosses off all the boxes.

Singles Match for the AEW World Championship: Swerve Strickland (c) vs Christian Cage

RESULT: Swerve Strickland retained by pinfall.
THOUGHTS:
Good match. They worked well together, it was a solid contest. Thumbs up.

Anarchy in the Arena: The Elite (Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, Kazuchika Okada and Jack Perry) vs. FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood), Bryan Danielson and Darby Allin

RESULT: The Elite won by pinfall (Perry pinned Danielson)
THOUGHTS:
This was great. Lots of bombastic spots. Awesome. Match of the Year candidate.
