The WWE United States Championship has changed hands as Logan Paul defeated Rey Mysterio to win the title at Crown Jewel on November 4, 2023.
My immediate reaction: So long as this doesn't result in a situation where the United States title AND the two world titles Roman Reigns holds are just missing entirely for months, this could be a good thing. I'm nervous that WWE is already in their mentality that they're "in the home stretch to WrestleMania", which is actually 6 months away, but since there's just Survivor Series and nothing else until Royal Rumble, they might be thinking "Hey, let's give the US title to Logan Paul, and we'll have him defend that at WrestleMania, and in the meantime...well...fuck it, it's just November and December..." But in theory, if Paul is going to stick around and have some more matches over the course of the next few months, this could be a really good move.
Since this happened, be sure to check out the updated full list of title changes for this year and the list of current champions and my predictions for who will take the belts away from them.
