Welcome to another edition of POINTS OF IMPACT—a breakdown of the top moments of this week's edition of Impact Wrestling.

This segment will fill you in on the most important parts of the show worth checking out or keeping up to date with, in case you missed this episode of Impact Wrestling.

Without further ado, let's inspect the biggest takeaways of the week!

IMPACT WRESTLING: NOVEMBER 2, 2023 RESULTS

#5 - It's Yersel!

Grado returned to an Impact wrestling ring this week, facing Trey Miguel in singles action. With this week's Impact coming from Glasgow, Scotland, Grado had his country on his side, and they cheered on every antic of his against the former X Division Champion Miguel.

Once the initial tomfoolery of Grado came and went, the match turned into a feat of endurance for the Scot against Miguel's slick, quick offence, but come the end of the match, Grado was able to pick up the win with his version of the Big Boot, known as the Wee Boot. This isn't Match Of the Year. But my god, it's a fun time to be had.

#4 - Virtuosic Subculture

The Most Professional Wrestling Virtuosas, the team of Moose, Brian Myers and Deonna Purrazzo took on the entirety of Subculture this week in an intergender six-person tag match. Continuing the theme of fun, this was a light-hearted but incredibly worked banger from start to finish, not matching the aforementiond Grado match in terms of comedy spots and tone, but not taking itself too seriously either.

When the action wasn't fast-paced exchanges, or the crowd calling Myers a w***er, the main theme of the match seemed to be all three of Subculture teaming up to take down the big man Moose, which they eventually would, a nice Triple Powerbomb getting them a near fall. This battle would go to the heels however, as Moose was able to pick up the win with the Lights Out spear against Mark Andrews.

#3 - The Heart and Soul vs The Billy GOAT

Eddie Edwards cut a promo this week, hyping his match against Will Ospreay at Turning Point. Ospreay's second match for the company in recent times, after the MOTY candidate at Bound For Glory against Mike Bailey, this match, I am certain, will not disappoint either.

Edwards says that he and Ospreay are two of a kind, two people who knew what they wanted to do with their life, who knew that to be the best, they had to beat the best, and to do so, they had to go to Japan. They became the first gaijins in their respective promotions to hold the world titles. Edwards admits that Ospreay is the best in the world at current time. But Edwards is coming for that title.

#2 - (British) Motor City!

In the night's main event, the MCMG took on the odd couple of Eric Young and Josh Alexander in tag team action. The combination of talent in this match guaranteed it would be good, but the lingering tension between Shelley and Alexander really tipped it over the edge. The two teams didn't disappoint, but did so in a way that honestly, I find hard to put into words. After almost twenty minutes of superbly worked stuff, a CradleShock from Sabin was enough to put a singlet-clad EY away.

#1 - We Believe

Impact opened this week with the finals of a four-man tournament, the opening matches of which had taken place untelevised. Frankie Kazarian took on another Local Hero (ba dum tss) in Joe Hendry, to see who would be the winner of the Glasgow Cup. This match was like a car's gearbox, building in separate, individually important stages, each of them timed just right. The power of Hendry vs the speed, experience and cunning of Kaz made for quite the first match of the (televised) night.

Hendry deadlifted Kaz on more than one occasion, Kaz had springboards aplenty, including one into an Okalahoma Roll, but it would be, ultimately, the attempt to play technical in the end, as, perhaps losing confidence after Hendry kicked out of some of his big bombs like the Fade to Black, and consistently avoided the Chickenwing submission, Kaz initiated a roll-up exchange, one Hendry got the better of, winning the Glasgow Cup in front of his countrymen.
