The Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship has changed hands as Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso defeated The Judgment Day (Damian Priest and Finn Balor) to win the titles at Fastlane on October 7, 2023.
My immediate reaction: Heeey. Look at that. So maybe their game plan with "someone will be drafted to SmackDown" is that it will be Cody Rhodes, and that's how they're going to re-split the tag team titles between brands again? It also makes sense that Cody would hold tag gold when he likely announces the return of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic on Tuesday's episode of NXT. I did say that the next tag team champions would be "two singles stars who are put together for storyline purposes" though, so I got that right, even though I wouldn't have guessed Cody and Jey.
Since this happened, be sure to check out the updated full list of title changes for this year and the list of current champions and my predictions for who will take the belts away from them.
