WWE Power Rankings Top 10 Superstars This Week: #469 - A Smaller Roster To Rank

Posted by Callum Wiggins Saturday, September 23, 2023

Welcome to another edition of POWER RANKINGS from Smark Out Moment! Each week, we will break down the current roster and examine who has gone up the WWE hierarchy and who has unfortunately taken a step down the ladder. Factoring in things such as wins and losses, suspensions, injuries, making a name for oneself, being humiliated, and more, who is at the top of the food chain and who needs to make up some ground next week?

Here is the key code for the rankings shorthand when referencing their position in relation to the previous week:

NR = Not included in last week's rankings at all

+ Green = the number of moves up in the rankings compared to last week

- Red = the number of moves down in the rankings compared to last week

Honorable Mentions = five superstars who just barely missed the cut

Power Ranking WWE wrestlers list roster

10. Ilja Dragunov [-3]

Despite no match this week, Ilja Dragunov did make an impact on NXT by destroying Dominik Mysterio at the conclusion of his match with Carmelo Hayes.

9. Tommaso Ciampa [NR]

Clearly being groomed as the next challenger for Gunther's Intercontinental Championship, Tommaso Ciampa picked up a win on Raw over his Imperium ally Giovanni Vinci.

8. Imperium [-2]

Essentially the reverse of the above – Giovanni Vinci couldn't halt Tommaso Ciampa's momentum, meaning Gunther has an in-form challenger on the horizon.

7. Drew McIntyre [NR]

Another person in good form is Drew McIntyre, who picked up his latest victory in the main event of Raw over the newly arrived Jey Uso.

6. Seth Rollins [-1]

Yet another week without a match for Seth Rollins, as he was restricted to a pre-match attack to Shinsuke Nakamura on Raw.

5. LA Knight [-2]

Apparently dealing with a medical issue, LA Knight was nowhere to be seen on SmackDown this week, but hopefully will be ready to take the role of John Cena's tag partner.

4. Damage CTRL [NR]

In the first televised defense of her WWE Women's Championship, Iyo Sky capitalized on some disturbances at ringside from Bayley and Charlotte to defeat Asuka on SmackDown.

3. Judgment Day [-2]

Not the most stellar week for Judgment Day, with Dominik Mysterio bearing the brunt of the problems. The North American Champion was squashed by Cody Rhodes on Raw, and was then mauled by Ilja Dragunov on NXT.

2. LWO [+2]

Rey Mysterio & Santos Escobar combined well on SmackDown to score a win over the recently repackaged Street Profits, who still seem reluctant to go full force into their heel turn.

1. Becky Lynch [+1]

The Man is holding gold again, albeit the NXT Women's Championship, but it's lit a fire under her. Becky Lynch retained her title on Raw over Natalya, and then showed up on NXT to team with Lyra Valkyria in a victory over Tiffany Stratton & Kiana James.

HONORABLE MENTIONS

Cody Rhodes - It was an easy night on Raw for Cody Rhodes as he comfortably beat Dominik Mysterio.

Bronson Reed - In somewhat of an upset despite the size difference, Bronson Reed defeated a previously red-hot Chad Gable on Raw.

The Brawling Brutes - Butch advanced to the final of the Heritage Cup Invitational on NXT with a great win over Tyler Bate, but he and Ridge Holland couldn't get a win over Austin Theory & Grayon Waller on SmackDown.

Gallus - Joining Butch in the Heritage Cup final will be Joe Coffey after he won a Triple Threat over Nathan Frazer and Duke Hudson on NXT.

Austin Theory & Grayson Waller - In what could be the start of a new tag team, Austin Theory & Grayson Waller combined forces to beat The Brawling Brutes on SmackDown.

The Power Rankings Table (since WrestleMania 39)

  1. Judgment Day - 25 weeks (9 weeks at #1)
  2. Seth Rollins - 20 weeks (1 week at #1)
  3. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn - 18 weeks (4 weeks at #1)
  4. Austin Theory - 12 weeks
  5. Damage CTRL - 12 weeks
  6. Bianca Belair - 11 weeks (4 weeks at #1)
  7. LWO - 11 weeks (4 weeks at #1)
  8. The Bloodline - 11 weeks (2 weeks at #1)
  9. Imperium - 11 weeks
  10. Jey Uso - 10 weeks (2 weeks at #1)

Do you think anyone should be listed differently?

What can these Superstars do to get back up at the #1 spot?
