WWE Power Rankings Top 10 Superstars This Week: #466 - Ready For Some Payback?

Posted by Callum Wiggins Saturday, September 2, 2023

Welcome to another edition of POWER RANKINGS from Smark Out Moment! Each week, we will break down the current roster and examine who has gone up the WWE hierarchy and who has unfortunately taken a step down the ladder. Factoring in things such as wins and losses, suspensions, injuries, making a name for oneself, being humiliated, and more, who is at the top of the food chain and who needs to make up some ground next week?

Here is the key code for the rankings shorthand when referencing their position in relation to the previous week:

NR = Not included in last week's rankings at all

+ Green = the number of moves up in the rankings compared to last week

- Red = the number of moves down in the rankings compared to last week

Honorable Mentions = five superstars who just barely missed the cut

Power Ranking WWE wrestlers list roster

10. Diamond Mine [NR]

The Creed Brothers were reinstated to the NXT roster on Tuesday thanks to their Steel Cage victory over The Dyad.

9. Becky Lynch [NR]

Before she hopefully ends her feud with Trish Stratus once and for all at Payback, Becky Lynch beat Stratus' understudy Zoey Stark in a Falls Count Anywhere match on Raw.

8. Kiana James [NR]

In a surprising result, Kiana James overcame Roxanne Perez, Blair Davenport and Gigi Dolin to earn the next opportunity at NXT Women's Champion Tiffany Stratton.

7. Damage CTRL [-4]

Thanks to some interference by Charlotte Flair, Bayley suffered a defeat on SmackDown to her recent rival Shotzi.

6. Seth Rollins [-2]

No in-ring action for Seth Rollins this week as he prepares to defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura at Payback.

5. Alpha Academy [+2]

Before his big opportunity at Gunther's Intercontinental Championship, Chad Gable scored a DQ victory over Ludwig Kaiser on Raw.

4. The Bloodline [+4]

While Jimmy Uso's status with The Bloodline remains unclear, fully-fledged member Solo Sikoa was successful on SmackDown with a win over AJ Styles.

3. Cody Rhodes [-1]

Cody Rhodes was absent from television this week, and is scheduled to appear on a special edition of the Grayson Waller Effect at Payback.

2. LWO [-1]

For the first time in a little while, the LWO had a rough SmackDown, as Rey Mysterio & Santos Escobar lost to Austin Theory & Grayson Waller, while Joaquin Wilde & Cruz Del Toro fell to Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn.

1. Judgment Day [+4]

With the WWE Tag Team Championships in the Judgment Day's crosshairs, Damian Priest defeated Sami Zayn in singles action on Raw.

HONORABLE MENTIONS

The Viking Raiders - Due to an errant chair throw by Drew McIntyre, The Viking Raiders picked up a victory over The New Day on Raw.

Tommaso Ciampa - In what has become a real rarity these days, Tommaso Ciampa earned a win over Bronson Reed on Raw.

The Brawling Brutes - In the first match of the new Global Heritage Invitational, Butch picked up the points over Charlie Dempsey.

Gallus - Later on in the night, Joe Coffey got points on the board with a win over former Heritage Cup holder Nathan Frazer.

Shotzi - After a couple of months of back-and-forth brawls and attacks, Shotzi pinned Bayley on this week's SmackDown.

The Power Rankings Table (since WrestleMania 39)

  1. Judgment Day - 22 weeks (7 weeks at #1)
  2. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn - 18 weeks (4 weeks at #1)
