AEW COLLISION RESULTS: SEPTEMBER 16, 2023
- Ricky Starks and Big Bill defeated Blackpool Combat Club (Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli) by pinfall (Starks pinned Danielson)
- Backstage, The Young Bucks and Hangman Page talk about the Mogul Embassy. They issue a challenge to up the stakes for Grand Slam. They tell Mogul Embassy to put their ROH Six-Man Tag Team titles for AEW Rampage's Grand Slam.
- Powerhouse Hobbs promo about "The Book of Hobbs."
- Miro talks about his "Hot and Flexible" woman, CJ Perry. He screams why that every time he is ready to succeed she comes around. This is the promise of "The Redeemer."
- AEW World Tag Team Championship: FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) (c) defeated Iron Savages (Bronson and Boulder) by pinfall, retaining their titles.
- After the match, the WorkHorsemen interrupt FTR. They seemingly want a title match. Both teams shake hands and the WorkHorsemen pull the tag champs closer, face-to-face.
- Backstage, Lexi Nair interviews Keith Lee. There's a bit of blooper with a production member saying "action, but right after Lee is immediately interrupted by Shane Taylor and Lee Moriarty. Moriarty is the newest member of Taylor's group, and introduces him to Lee.
- Before the match, Silver gets a mic after The Acclaimed's opening rap. Silver announces that they didn't read the fine print, and says that the contract for the match says that Max Caster and Billy Gunn are banned from ringside.
- John Silver defeated Anthony Bowens by pinfall.
- Eddie Kingston says that his relationship with Claudio Castagnoli dates back to 2006-2007. He says that Claudio decided not to do business, and left him. He said that he had to clean tadpoles for him once he was gone. The only way to fix this rivalry is the Title vs. Title match at Grand Slam. Kingston says that he pushes everyone away, but what he does have, is hope. New York's always been with him. Wherever he goes, borough etc, New York is his. This will not end with Eddie's shoulders down on the mat. We (New Yorkers) are built different, they're built on misery. He acknowledges that Claudio is a great wrestler, but he ain't ready for the misery in New York.
- Renee Paquette interviews Orange Cassidy and Hook. Hook is eating chips. They share them. Cassidy nonchalantly suggests them two team up at Grand Slam at Arthur Ashe Stadium. Hook agrees.
- Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis) wins by pinfall.
- After the match, they get on the mics in the ring. They ask FTR if they're paying attention. They are beating teams quicker than FTR. They say that FTR loves to talk about how many championships they've won, but so have Aussie Open. They are former ROH and IWGP tag team champions, just like FTR. Right now, right here they are calling their shot. October 1, one year to the day where both teams last stepped foot in the ring, they want FTR and their AEW World Tag Team Championship at WrestleDream.
- Toni Storm: Portrait of a Star airs. It's a sit-down style interview. Storm is very needy and whiny like she has been recently. Storm says that she hasn't changed, it's just business has. She says that this business is not about making money, but it's about hiring wrestlers with sob stories. To Be Continued...
- Scorpio Sky talks about his return after many injures. He says that he's pushed right back into the line of fire. He's not just.coming back...he's here.
- Andrade El Idolo defeated Scorpio Sky by submission
- After the match, "Switchblade" JayWhite and the rest of Bullet Club Gold interrupt. White tells El Idolo that he can't have Bullet Club Gold. He thinks that Andrade wants that "Switchblade Spotlight." This is the Switchblade Era. White wants a match with Andrade next week, and if that doesn't work for next Saturday at Collision, then they can do this right now. Referees and officials get in between the two to stop there from being any altercation or match for Tonight.
- Recap of Don Callis and Kenny Omega's war and how Callis next masterpiece is destroying Omega's best friend, Kota Ibushi.
- Toni Schiavone interviews Katsuya Shibata, Shibata announces that he will be at AEW WrestleDream on October 1.
- The Righteous (Vincent and Dutch) defeated The Hardys by pinfall.
- After, The Righteous call out Adam Cole and MJF to a match for the ROH Tag Team Championship.
- The second part of Toni Storm: Portrait of a Star airs.
- AEW TBS Championship: Kris Statlander (c) defeated Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D by pinfall, to retain. (Camera showed Julia Hart in the crowd plotting, likely setting up Statlander's next challenge)
