WWE NXT HEATWAVE RESULTS: AUGUST 22, 2023
- Ilja Dragunov defeated Trick Williams by pinfall.
- Ivy Nile defeated Ava Raine by submission.
- Noam Dar defeated Nathan Frazer to win the NXT Heritage Cup
- Promo: Tiffany Stratton's in-ring segment was interrupted by Gigi Dolin, then Kiana James, then Blair Davenport, then Roxanne Perez. A brawl ensued. Stratton quickly escaped.
- A quick Performance Center moment aired of Charlie Dempsey with Damon Kemp in the ring and Drew Gulak bossing around Myles Borne. Dempsey locked Borne in a submission. Borne tapped out but Dempsey kept it on.
- Ava was abducted by Diamond Mine. The Creed Brothers want a steel cage match against The Dyad with the stipulation that if they win, they get reinstated in NXT.
- A tournament will take place to determine Noam Dar's next challenger for NXT No Mercy.
- Mixed Tag Team Match: Dragon Lee and Lyra Valkyria defeated "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley by pinfall
- Last week, Thea Hail was upset about losing to Jacy Jayne and it being Andre Chase's fault. Jayne went over to her and praised her progress from the past year, said she understands being let down by someone and that people like them always get through it, teasing that they might become a tag team after Hail turns heel.
- Baron Corbin vs Von Wagner wasn't a match as Corbin attacked Wagner before the bell. Bron Breakker speared Wagner to end the segment.
- NXT Championship Match: Carmelo Hayes defeated Wes Lee by pinfall to retain.
