AEW COLLISION RESULTS: AUGUST 12, 2023

  • Tony Schiavone is in the ring to kick off the night. He introduces Ricky Starks to come down to the ring. Starks says that Ricky Steamboat cost him the match last week so that's why he had to kick his ass. He says that he's not surprised that he got suspended for 30 days but because of that he got a managing license so that he will appear every week on the show, though not wrestling. He threatens to whoop Schiavone's ass if he looks at him a certain way. Starks then talks trash about CM Punk. He proclaims that he will set this whole company on fire. He adds that he will bring a war to him and everyone else on the roster.
  • A hype video airs for the FTR vs. The Young Bucks match at All In.
  • The Acclaimed defeated Iron Savages by pinfall.
  • After the match, Anthony Bowens and Max Caster get on the mic. Caster says that The Acclaimed are back and that they will continue their road to the top again this Wednesday. Bowens then tells Greensboro to throw their scissors up in the air to honor Billy Gunn.
  • Lexy Nair is backstage interviewing Bullet Club Gold. They say nobody is hotter than them and that's why they call themselves "gold" because they're the best. Jay White says that they are the best version of Bullet Club. The Gunns take aim at The Young Bucks and challenge them to a match for Wednesday on Dynamite.
  • Diamante and Mercedes Martinez defeated Kris Statlander and Willow Nightingale by pinfall.
  • Nair interviews Toni Storm backstage. Storm is in a robe and says that she is depressed since losing her Women's Championship. She is happy her fellow Outcasts mate Saraya is in the match, so she knows there will be no funny business. Storm takes offense to Nair's question about Hikaru Shida being in the four-way match at All In. She tells her to shut up and walks away, though from a distance Storm throws her shoe at Nair.
  • Samoa Joe defeated Andrew Everett by submission.
  • Post-match, Joe gets on the mic and introduces himself to the crowd as the "king of television." Joe says that the silence by CM Punk about his challenge for All In makes him a coward. He calls him a real world bitch. Joe gave him the curtesy of asking and letting Punk know what would happen. He is done asking and now he's going to convince Punk to accept.
  • Christian Cage and Luchasaurus come out to the ring. Cage says that North Carolina is known for having "second bests." For instance, he says that Michael Jordan is the second best basketball player of all time (behind LeBron James). He also says that he is better than North Carolina's own, Ric Flair. He says the rest of the locker room wishes they were him. However, he feel disrespected by Darby Allin. Cage says that as long as the TNT Championship is in his possession, Allin will never touch the title again. Cage is finally interrupted by Arn Anderson and his son Brock Anderson. Arn acknowledges to Cage that he isn't the champion and that Luchasaurus is. Cage says that the last time Arn was relevant was when he made him a bloody mess. Arn says that if this was 20 years ago he would come into that ring and take that title off of him. Brock Anderson runs into the ring and the open challenge is immediately underway.
  • AEW TNT Championship: Luchasaurus (c) (w/Christian Cage) defeated Brock Anderson (w/Arn Anderson) by pinfall, retaining the title.
  • Darby Allin runs out after the match and attacks Luchasaurus with his skateboard. He challenges Christian Cage to a match next week on Collision, to which Cage accepts.
  • Tony Schiavone is back in the ring to interview Powerhouse Hobbs. Hobbs says, just last week, he doesn't want or need anyone's help. In his Book of Hobbs, the next title is called "Redemption." He asks how is he suppose to redeem himself? In order to get past this chapter he needs to beat the Redeemer, Miro. He tells Miro to bring his ass to the ring. Whilst making his way down to the ring, Aaron Solo and Nick Comoroto attack Miro from behind. They toss Miro into the ring, though Miro recovers and takes them two out. When turned around, Hobbs lays out Miro and throws down his book onto Miro's body,
  • Before the main event, Jim Ross comes our to join the announce desk for the match.
  • AEW World Trios Championship: House of Black (c) (w/Julia Hart) defeated CMFTR by pinfall, retaining the titles.
