WWE Title Change: New NXT Tag Team Champions Crowned at NXT Vengeance Day 2023

Posted by Anthony Mango Saturday, February 4, 2023

The WWE NXT Tag Team Championship has changed hands as Gallus defeated The New Day (as well as Chase University and Pretty Deadly) to win the titles at NXT Vengeance Day on February 4, 2023.

My immediate reaction: Honestly, I'm not a fan. I wanted The New Day to carry on as champions a little longer, at least until NXT Stand & Deliver. But on top of that, I would have been more of a fan of almost any tag team winning over than Gallus. They're not the most interesting team for me right now. Mark Coffey and Wolfgang come off as way more bland compared to a team like The Dyad or Indus Sher, or Chase U, or giving the belts back to Pretty Deadly, or to The Creed Brothers. I don't dislike Gallus, but thumbs down on this.

Since this happened, be sure to check out the updated full list of title changes for this year and the list of current champions and my predictions for who will take the belts away from them.
