WWE Power Rankings Top 10 Superstars This Week: #439 - Roman Reigns Over Montreal

Posted by Callum Wiggins Saturday, February 25, 2023

Welcome to another edition of POWER RANKINGS from Smark Out Moment! Each week, we will break down the current roster and examine who has gone up the WWE hierarchy and who has unfortunately taken a step down the ladder. Factoring in things such as wins and losses, suspensions, injuries, making a name for oneself, being humiliated, and more, who is at the top of the food chain and who needs to make up some ground next week?

Here is the key code for the rankings shorthand when referencing their position in relation to the previous week:

NR = Not included in last week's rankings at all

+ Green = the number of moves up in the rankings compared to last week

- Red = the number of moves down in the rankings compared to last week

Honorable Mentions = five superstars who just barely missed the cut

Power Ranking WWE wrestlers list roster

10. Wes Lee [-5]

Wes Lee announced that next week he would again be putting his North American Championship up for grabs in an Open Challenge, reaffirming his status as a fighting champion.

9. Edge & Beth Phoenix [NR]

The Grit Couple of Edge & Beth Phoenix, powered by the Canadian crowd in Montreal, overcame The Judgment Day's Finn Balor & Rhea Ripley at Elimination Chamber.

8. Cody Rhodes [-4]

No in-ring action for Cody Rhodes on his path to the main event of WrestleMania 39, but he did once again exchange words with The Wise Man Paul Heyman via the titantron.

7. Roxanne Perez [-5]

Roxanne Perez undertook a grueling training session with her upcoming challenger Meiko Satomura, as both prepare to battle over the NXT Women's Championship at Roadblock.

6. Bron Breakker [+2]

In arguably one of the most boring matches of his entire NXT Championship reign, Bron Breakker retained his title over former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal.

5. Austin Theory [NR]

A great week for Austin Theory, as he asserted his position as United States Champion. First, he overcame five challengers inside the Elimination Chamber to retain his title, thanks to a timely assist from Logan Paul. Then on Raw, he was the beneficiary of interference, this time Finn Balor, as he defeated Edge.

4. Imperium [+2]

The combined force of Imperium was victorious on SmackDown over Braun Strowman, Ricochet & Madcap Moss, with Gunther scoring the decisive pin.

3. The Judgment Day [-2]

Judgment Day tumble down the rankings after a bad Elimination Chamber showing, as Finn Balor & Rhea Ripley fell to Edge & Beth Phoenix, and Damian Priest failed to capture the United States Championship.

2. Asuka [+5]

The new and improved Asuka is heading to WrestleMania after winning the Elimination Chamber to decide the challenger for Bianca Belair's Raw Women's Championship. She continued her winning streak with a victory over Nikki Cross on Raw.

1. The Bloodline [+2]

Dashing the dreams of Sami Zayn and a boisterous Montreal crowd, Roman Reigns silenced everyone by pinning Zayn after the usual series of shenanigans, meaning he'll enter WrestleMania 39 as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

HONORABLE MENTIONS

Sami Zayn - While his strong showing against Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber ended in a heart-crushing defeat, Sami Zayn bounced back somewhat on Raw with a win over the hapless Baron Corbin.

Bronson Reed - Although his good performance in the Elimination Chamber didn't end in gold, Bronson Reed scored a victory on Raw over Chad Gable.

The Schism - With Ava's mind games causing Thea Hail to freak out, The Dyad earned a tag team win over Chase U on NXT.

Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler - As Ronda Rousey watched on at ringside, Shayna Baszler picked up the victory over her former tag team partner Natalya on SmackDown.

Karrion Kross - Thanks to interference from Dominik Mysterio, Karrion Kross defeated Rey Mysterio in a SmackDown rematch.
