AEW Double or Nothing 2023 Spoilers

AEW World Championship Four Pillars Four-Way Match: MJF (c) vs. Darby Allin vs. Jungle Boy Jack Perry vs. Sammy Guevara

Awesome. This is a nice change of pace and a great way to showcase all of these guys in a meaningful fashion. It always struck me funny that Hangman Adam Page was never included in the Four Pillars discussion despite being in the same age range, but as Taz would say, "I digress."

No way do I think MJF is losing his title here, but that's okay. The match is going to be great and it's nice to see these guys finally having a four-way for the belt to showcase their status as The Four Pillars.

PREDICTION: MJF retains.

AEW World Tag Team Championship Match: FTR (c) vs. Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal

Having Mark Briscoe as the special guest referee definitely helps boost this match with an interesting little twist. Neat. This should be fun and FTR should be retaining.

PREDICTION: Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler retain.

AEW TNT Championship Ladder Match: Wardlow (c) vs. Christian Cage

Christian Cage winning the belt wouldn't be bad for the belt, but it would be another confusing booking decision for Wardlow. Since there's now a history of AEW messing around with taking that belt off him, it isn't entirely unreasonable to predict he'll drop it yet again. However, I'm going to bank more on them getting those experiments out of their system and sticking with Wardlow for the time being.

PREDICTION: Wardlow will retain.

AEW International Championship 21-Man Blackjack Battle Royal Match: Orange Cassidy (c) vs. 20 competitors TBD

Sweet! I'm curious why they're going with the Blackjack Battle Royal name instead of Casino Battle Royale. That's interesting they'd switch it up like that. But you put Orange Cassidy in a match and I'm already interested. You give me a battle royal, I'm already interested. You put those two together and put a belt on the line, too? Sold.

PREDICTION: Orange Cassidy retains one more time before losing it to his next challenger after this.

AEW Women's World Championship Match: Jamie Hayter (c) vs. Toni Storm

Doooooo sooooomething eeeeeeeeeeeeeelllsee. Good lord. The same few people have been feuding for what, a year?! I was over this shit like 5 pay-per-views ago!!

PREDICTION: Jamie Hayter probably retains. I don't care. I'm not even going to bother watching the match. I'll pay attention to what is happening on NXT Battleground at this point instead.

Anarchy in the Arena Match: Blackpool Combat Club (Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta) vs. The Elite (Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson and "Hangman" Adam Page)

Short answer: this is going to rock. I'm super on board with this. Potential Match of the Year candidate in the making.

PREDICTION: The Elite wins unless there are plans to do a follow-up with Blood & Guts.

Unsanctioned Match: Adam Cole vs. Chris Jericho

Why is this an "unsanctioned" match instead of a Lights Out match? In any case, both guys are great, so this should be good. If the story is going to continue, Jericho will likely get the win. But since I think they've done enough, I'd prefer Adam Cole being victorious.

PREDICTION: Adam Cole wins.

Trios Match: Ethan Page and The Gunns vs. The Hardy Party

Why is this on the card? This would be a segment I'd skip over for Dynamite, even. The Trios Championship should have been defended instead, or they could just not have this match on there. Throw it on Rampage where it can be ignored. This isn't worth wasting time on. I'll be watching NXT Battleground during this.

PREDICTION: The Hardy Party wins.

AEW TBS Championship Match: Jade Cargill (c) vs. Taya Valkyrie

There's always a chance Taya Valkyrie has been set up as the next champion. However, with the way this feud has gone down so far, I'm leaning toward Jade Cargill retaining. It just doesn't seem like Valkyrie has the right momentum from my perspective.

PREDICTION: Jade Cargill retains.

This page will be altered on a regular basis to reflect changes to the show including any new matches added to the lineup, adjustments to the card, revised predictions and any other information about this event. Stay tuned for the latest updates!
