AEW All In 2023 Results |
ZERO HOUR:
ROH World Tag Team Championship Match: Aussie Open (c) vs. Adam Cole and MJF
RESULT: Adam Cole and MJF won the titles by pinfall!
THOUGHTS: Solid opener that will assuredly be overtaken by other things in the night, but the title change will be all that people really focus on as a great way to start the crowd's hype for the rest of the evening. 2.75/5
FTW Championship Match: Jack Perry (c) vs. Hook
RESULT: Hook won the title by submission!
THOUGHTS: Another solid match. I liked this better than the previous one, actually. Glad to see Hook win the title back. 3.25/5
MAIN CARD:
"Real World Championship" Match: CM Punk (c) vs. Samoa Joe
THOUGHTS: Meh, it was fine. Better than some other performances I've seen from Punk in AEW, but not as good as some others. I'm sure some people will inflate it. 3/5
Trios Match: The Golden Elite (Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi and Hangman Adam Page) vs. Bullet Club Gold (Jay White and Juice Robinson) and Konosuke Takeshita
RESULT: Bullet Club Gold and Konosuke Takeshita won by pinfall (Takeshita pinned Kenny Omega with a roll-up)THOUGHTS: Admittedly not as great as I was hoping it would be, but I still enjoyed it. 3/5
AEW World Tag Team Championship Match: FTR (c) vs. The Young Bucks
RESULT: FTR retained the titles by pinfall.THOUGHTS: Both teams have had better matches. This isn't going on my Match of the Year list like I had thought there was a chance for. It picked up considerably toward the end, but the rest of it leading up to that point wasn't doing it much for me. 3/5 (and before you complain, remember that 3 out of 5 is "above average", so don't turn this into "Tony hates everything". If I hated it, I would be giving it a 1. Not everything has to be the best or worst thing ever all the time.)
Stadium Stampede Match: Eddie Kingston, Penta
El Zero Miedo, and Best Friends (Orange Cassidy, Trent
Beretta and Chuck Taylor) vs. Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Claudio
Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta), Santana and Ortiz
THOUGHTS: This was, as expected, a ton of fun. Easily my favorite segment so far for the night. 4/5
AEW Women's World Championship Four-Way Match: Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. vs. Saraya vs. Toni Storm
THOUGHTS: Called it. The match was meh. All they're going to care about is the Saraya moment. 2.5/5
Tag Team Coffin Match: Darby Allin and Sting vs. Christian Cage and Swerve Strickland
RESULT: Darby Allin and Sting won.
THOUGHTS: Rock solid match. Quite fun. 3.5/5
Chris Jericho vs. Will Ospreay
THOUGHTS: Good match. I'm sure it would have been an amazing one if this were a different era of Jericho. 3.5/5
AEW World Trios Championship Match: House of Black (Malakai Black, Buddy Matthews, and Brody King) (c) vs. Billy Gunn and The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens and Max Caster)
RESULT: The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn won the titles by pinfall (Caster pinned King)THOUGHTS: Fun match. Not the best of the night, but higher up than others. 3.25/5
AEW World Championship Match: MJF (c) vs. Adam Cole
RESULT: MJF retained by pinfallTHOUGHTS: Awesome match. The fake-out of the draw and restarting it to have a sudden death continuation, along with all the teases of the two of them splitting up and doing both good and bad things, was great. 4.25/5
