Welcome to another edition of WOMEN'S WRESTLING WEEKLY—a rundown of the events which have transpired in the world of women's professional wrestling over the past several days not just with the Superstars on WWE programming, but with Impact Wrestling's Knockouts, ROH's Women of Honor, and even a glimpse at the women on the independent circuit.
WWE Monday Night Raw
Bayley vs Asuka vs Rhea Ripley
As the first of two Triple Threat matches, the level of excitement here was high, however, it just couldn't match the intensity of the main event.
Winner: Bayley
Rating: 3.5/5
Alexa Bliss vs Becky Lynch vs Nikki Cross
This was a fantastic match to end the show, with Alexa Bliss picking up the surprise win. Raw's women's division is the complete antithesis of SmackDown's, with this match not only rocking from an in ring perspective, but also succeeding in creating a compelling narrative for all involved.
Winner: Alexa Bliss
Rating: 4/5
AEW Dark: Elevation
Nyla Rose & Marina Shafir vs Kitty LaFleur & Alice Crowley
Squash City!
Winner: Nyla Rose & Marina Shafir
Rating: 2/5
Kiera Hogan vs Nikki Victory
Squash City!
Winner: Kiera Hogan
Rating: 2/5
Madison Rayne vs Emi Sakura
Squash City!
Winner: Emi Sakura
Rating: 2/5
WWE NXT 2.0
Isla Dawn vs Thea Hail
Squash City! Isla Dawn has to look strong for Alba Fyre, right?
Winner: Isla Dawn
Rating: 2/5
Indi Hartwell vs Fallon Henley vs Wendy Choo
Another Indi Hartwell match, and another dose of banality.
Winner: Indi Hartwell
Rating: 2/5
AEW Dark
Abadon vs Leva Bates
Squash City! We don't get nearly enough action from Abadon in AEW, and I feel she is worthy of another shot at being a focal point of AEW's women's division.
Winner: Abadon
Rating: 2/5
Athena vs B3cca
Squash City! Evil Athena seems to finally be finding her feet.
Winner: Athena
Rating: 2/5
AEW Wednesday Night Dynamite
Jade Cargill & The Baddies vs Madison Rayne, Kiera Hogan, & Skye Blue
Squash City! Jade Cargill continues to look absolutely fantastic!
Winner: Jade Cargill & The Baddies
Rating: 2/5
Impact Wrestling
Savannah Evans vs Taya Valkyrie
Although an upset win for Savannah Evans, neither woman really showed their best side here. Taya Valkyrie feels to me to be stuck in limbo within the Knockout's division, but it is great to see new faces being pushed. Not bad, but not great here.
Winner: Savannah Evans
Rating: 2.5/5
WWE Friday Night SmackDown
Liv Morgan & Tegan Nox vs Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler
I will give credit where it is due to the blue brand - their women's match wasn't garbage this week. Although not a stellar offering, Liv Morgan and Tegan Nox defeating the team of Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler was more entertaining than what we have received recently.
Winner: Liv Morgan & Tegan Nox
Rating: /5
WWE NXT Level Up
Valentia Feroz vs Sol Ruca
Squash City!
Winner: Sol Ruca
Rating: 2/5
AEW Rampage
Hikaru Shida vs Bunny
Squash City!
Winner: Hikaru Shida
Rating: /5
WWE NXT Deadline 2022
Roxanne Perez vs Zoey Stark vs Cora Jade vs Kiana James vs Indi Hartwell
The Women's Survivor match was a fairly decent concept, but I will admit that TNA did it best with their King of the Mountain match. Yes, both are similar, but the TNA matches were frenetic and off the hook, whilst this offering was tame at points. I'm happy for Roxanne Perez to win, but this did not feel great as a contest.
Winner: Roxanne Perez
Rating: 3/5
Isla Dawn vs Alba Fyre
I did not care for this, as Isla Dawn should not have taken the victory. Alba Fyre looked ineffective, whilst Dawn is not the great wrestler that she thinks she is. Overall, this was a failure.
Winner: Isla Dawn
Rating: 1.5/5
MATCH OF THE WEEK:
Alexa Bliss vs Becky Lynch vs Nikki Cross
A perfect example of why Raw has the best women's division in wrestling at the moment.
WOMAN OF THE WEEK:
Roxanne Perez
Roxanne Perez hammered home that she is now a big player in NXT.
