Welcome to another edition of WOMEN'S WRESTLING WEEKLY—a rundown of the events which have transpired in the world of women's professional wrestling over the past several days not just with the Superstars on WWE programming, but with Impact Wrestling's Knockouts, ROH's Women of Honor, and even a glimpse at the women on the independent circuit.
WWE Monday Night Raw
Candice LeRae vs Bayley
Should Bayley have lost so soon after she lost at Extreme Rules? Perhaps not, but it cannot be argued that a victory for Candice LeRae over the experienced Bayley is a strong way to put her over with fans on Raw.
Winner: Candice LeRae
Rating: 3/5
AEW Dark: Elevation
Hikaru Shida vs Erica Leigh
Squash City!
Winner: Hikaru Shida
Rating: 2/5
Emi Sakura vs Trish Adora
Squash City!

Nyla Rose vs Jordan Blade
Squash City!

Rating: 2/5
WWE NXT 2.0
Indi Hartwell vs Valentina Feroz

Alba Fyre vs Jacy Jayne

Rating: 2/5
Kiana James vs Thea Hail

AEW Dark
Brittany Blake, Jordan Blade, & Trish Adora vs Jamie Hayter , Penelope Ford, & Serena Deeb
Squash City!
Winner: Jamie Hayter, Penelope Ford, & Serena Deeb
Rating: 2/5
Hikaru Shida vs Marina Shafir
Both women worked hard here, putting on a match that was simply better than the usual Dark fare. Hikaru Shida was the favourite, but did not have the match all her own way as Marina Shafir proved she can hang with the big girls. A solid match overall.
Winner: Hikaru Shida
Rating: 3/5
Athena vs Gia Scott
Squash City!
Winner: Athena
Rating: 2/5
Emi Sakura vs Toni Storm
Simply fantastic! Dark featured two women's matches this week which were better than the usual offering of squash contests, with this particular bout impressing the hell out of me!
Toni Storm is clearly getting into a groove as Interim AEW Women's World Champion, putting on another stonker of a Championship elimination match. Emi Sakura has always been a solid hand, which is what she was here as a talented foe for Storm to vanquish. Yet again, Dark was able deliver a mini classic for the YouTube crowd.
Winner: Toni Storm
Rating: 4/5
AEW Wednesday Night Dynamite
Hikaru Shida & Toni Storm vs Britt Baker & Jamie Hatyer
In contrast to Dark, this match was rather by the numbers, but at least the team of Hikaru Shida and Toni Storm is gaining serious traction.
Winner: Hikaru Shida & Toni Storm
Rating: 2.5/5
Impact Wrestling
Killer Kelly vs Tasha Steelz
All in all, this was a decent contest. It wasn't as good as Masha Slamovich's recent Monster's Ball victory, but it was certainly a solid enough match for me to get into.
Winner: Killer Killer
Rating: 3/5
VXT & Gisele Shaw vs Death Dollz
The very definition of average. Not much to look at here.
Winner: VXT & Gisele Shaw
Rating: 2.5/5
WWE Friday Night SmackDown
Damage CTRL vs Shotzi, Roxanne Perez, & Raquel Rodriguez
Eurgh... I did not enjoy this. I understand that Damage CTRL cannot look strong every week, but they should not be going toe to toe with a terrible Shotzi and still green Roxanne Perez. It is especially egregious when you realise that Raquel Rodriguez looks poor by virtue of her association with Shotzi. Not a good match at all.
Winner: Damage CTRL
Rating: 2/5
WWE NXT Level Up
Ivy Nile vs Lash Legend
Mediocre. And not much to get excited about as ever when it comes to women's wrestling on Level Up.
Winner: Ivy Nile
Rating: 1.5/5
AEW Rampage
Nyla Rose vs Anna Jay
As an angle to build towards Jade Cargill vs Nyla Rose, this match served it's purpose well. It just was not terribly exciting, but then again, Rose feels like a one trick pony at the moment, only truly succeeding in squash matches.
Winner: Nyla Rose
Rating: 2/5
MATCH OF THE WEEK:
Emi Sakura vs Toni Storm
I love when Dark throws up a classic out of nowhere.
WOMAN OF THE WEEK:
Toni Storm
Toni Storm truly feels like a made woman in AEW, which was further established with her matches and success this week.
