ROH World Championship Match: Chris Jericho (c) vs. Claudio Castagnoli

This is all they could come up with? We've seen this match and we saw these two in the four-way at Full Gear. Doing this a third time is meh. The stipulation that if Castagnoli loses, he has to join Jericho Appreciation Society, makes me feel like this is lose-lose, in a way. I don't think he'd be a good fit there, nor do I think that storyline would be particularly interesting, and if he beats Jericho, then I have to wonder why they did this whole switch just to switch back in the first place.

The match will be good. We know that. But this leaves a lot to the imagination, in my mind. I was hoping for something more interesting, like Jericho against a surprising returning Nigel McGuinness or if Daniel Garcia had split from JAS and they would merge this and the Pure Championship or something.

PREDICTION: Chris Jericho retains.

ROH Pure Championship Match: Daniel Garcia (c) vs. Wheeler Yuta

Again? They've had good matches and all, but it's happened enough times and it's been enough months. Move on and do something else. There are plenty people who could challenge for this title and be different, instead of just the rinse and repeat act.

PREDICTION: Daniel Garcia retains.

ROH Women's World Championship Match: Mercedes Martinez (c) vs. Athena

Hm...this is tough. Athena's had a less than stellar run so far in AEW, but I can definitely picture them putting this belt on her and taking it off Mercedes Martinez. Something about that is speaking to me. I would have gone with Serena Deeb at the last event, but since they didn't, maybe this is when we get a new champion. But it isn't a guarantee by any means, which makes it much more intriguing.

PREDICTION: Athena wins.

ROH World Television Championship Match: Samoa Joe (c) vs. Juice Robinson

After all the Wardlow stuff, I just assumed Wardlow would get a shot at Joe's title. Now, though, I'm starting to think Wardlow comes in here and costs Joe the match, wherein Robinson wins, gets signed to ROH as their television champion, and Joe just sticks to the TNT Championship.

PREDICTION: Juice Robinson wins.

Tag Team Match: Swerve in Our Glory (Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland) vs. Shane Taylor and JD Griffey

I know nothing about JD Griffey and Shane Taylor. Sorry. This just seems completely out of nowhere from my point of view. That's particularly true when Lee and Strickland have been doing this split for so long. I'm not sure why they're still even a team. So maybe they just lose here after even more communication issues?

PREDICTION: JD Griffey and Shane Taylor win.

ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship Match: Dalton Castle and The Boys (c) vs. The Embassy

The Embassy are signed, while Dalton Castle and The Boys aren't, correct? If that's the case, this seems rather straightforward. I have no attachment to mostly everyone here, so it's kind of a wash for me, to be honest.

PREDICTION: The Embassy wins.

ROH World Tag Team Championship Double Dog Collar Match: FTR (c) vs. The Briscoes

I was hoping there would be something different in place, rather than ANOTHER "run it back" scenario happening here, but at least there's a gimmick involved. That will spice things up.

I could see this happening either way. The Briscoes winning the tag titles would be if FTR is going to stop being the multi-belt people and Tony Khan just wants to utilize The Briscoes in their best possible role. But I'm still leaning toward FTR retaining, if not just because they'd be better off holding those belts heading into Wrestle Kingdom.

PREDICTION: FTR wins.
