The WWE Women's Tag Team Championship has changed hands as Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky of Damage CTRL defeated Aliyah and Raquel Rodriguez to win the titles on the September 12, 2022 edition of Monday Night Raw.
My immediate reaction: That makes three times—every time—that Raquel Rodriguez won her tag team titles, she dropped them almost immediately. The first was on the same night. The second was 3 days later. I'm curious why they did that. I hope it wasn't just for the sake of a swerve and that that will be the booking philosophy of this new creative regime. We do need surprises here and there, but not "gotcha...okay, now let's do the real thing and get back on track" things like that. I'm glad Iyo and Dakota are champions, though. I'll say that.
Since this happened, be sure to check out the updated full list of title changes for this year and the list of current champions and my predictions for who will take the belts away from them.
