AEW Title Change: New AEW World Champion Crowned at All Out 2022

Posted by Anthony Mango Sunday, September 4, 2022

The AEW World Championship has changed hands as CM Punk defeated Jon Moxley to win the title at All Out on September 4, 2022.

My immediate reaction: Especially after that hiccup where Moxley won the title on Dynamite, this felt like a guarantee. I've said before that I wasn't particularly fond of the idea that CM Punk beat Hangman Adam Page to begin with, so we're back to the same title reign that I wasn't super thrilled with, only having taken a detour that I wasn't fond of, on top of that. Out of all the champions AEW has had so far, this has been my least favorite stretch. I hope they prove me wrong and it ends up being worthwhile.

Since this happened, be sure to check out the updated full list of title changes for this year and the list of current champions and my predictions for who will take the belts away from them.
