ROH Death Before Dishonor 2022 Spoilers

ROH World Championship Match: Jonathan Gresham (c) vs. Claudio Castagnoli

Claudio Castagnoli was someone Tony Khan reached out to specifically for Ring of Honor, more so than AEW. I think this is VERY much heading in the direction of Claudio winning the title.

Also, Gresham was seen on an AEW Dark taping without the championship. That could be a continuity thing where they wanted to make sure if he lost the belt, that he didn't show up with it after the fact to expose that it was pre-taped.

PREDICTION: Claudio Castagnoli wins.

ROH World Television Championship Match: Samoa Joe (c) vs. Jay Lethal

Part of me thinks Jay Lethal makes sense for a challenger for Samoa Joe and nothing more. It's a way to get two of the bigger names in ROH history against each other. However, an even stronger part of me thinks so much attention has been put on Lethal not in AEW that maybe Tony Khan is planning on having him fit this role, while Joe can be utilized more on Dynamite and Rampage.

I'm not super confident in the prediction, but I'm thinking we could see a new champion crowned.

PREDICTION: Jay Lethal wins.

ROH Pure Championship Match: Wheeler Yuta (c) vs. Daniel Garcia

As I think those two titles above are changing hands, I think that means this one (and one more) are safe. Wheeler Yuta has been somewhat of a pet project for a few months. Clearly, Khan is a fan of his in more than just a temporary "let's see what he can do" capacity.

While Daniel Garcia has also been highly touted as one of the future top stars of the company, I don't think holding this particular belt is where that will come into play. Garcia will put up a worthy fight, but come up just a little short.

PREDICTION: Wheeler Yuta wins.

ROH World Tag Team Championship 2-out-of-3 Falls Match: FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) (c) vs. The Briscoe Brothers (Jay Briscoe and Mark Briscoe)

Too much of an investment has been put into FTR holding a bunch of titles for them to drop them to The Briscoes right now. More than any other title, this is the one that I think is a guarantee to stay where it's at.

2-1 in favor of FTR. The Briscoe Brothers won't be shut out 2-0.

PREDICTION: FTR wins.

ROH Women's World Championship Match: Mercedes Martinez (c) vs. Serena Deeb

Supercard of Honor was partially set up before the purchase. This one is entirely Khan's baby to play around with. All the more reason I think some belts are being readjusted, with this being one of them.

Serena Deeb didn't win the AEW Women's World Championship, but is still very highly protected. As she's been a former teacher at the WWE Performance Center and her gimmick involves her being a wrestling scholar, she makes perfect sense as ROH women's champion. No disrespect to Martinez, who I am a big fan of.

PREDICTION: Serena Deeb wins.

Pre-Show: Allysin Kay vs. Willow Nightingale

Willow Nightingale has appeared on AEW a handful of times, so she could get the win based on that. However, Kay is the bigger star. Even though she's signed to NWA, there's no telling how much these crossovers have influence from the other companies. Maybe she wouldn't be "allowed" to lose a nothing match like this. I have no idea, to be honest.

PREDICTION: Allysin Kay wins.

ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship Match: The Righteous (Bateman, Dutch and Vincent) vs. Dalton Castle and The Boys

I know nothing about these teams. The Boys are enhancement talent, though, right? If I'm correct about that, I guess I'd lean directly toward The Righteous winning.

PREDICTION: The Righteous wins.

This page will be altered on a regular basis to reflect changes to the show including any new matches added to the lineup, adjustments to the card, revised predictions and any other information about this event. Stay tuned for the latest updates!
