The pre-show was a standard breakdown of the card with nothing else, including no added matches.
Six-Man Tag Team Match: Legado del Fantasma vs. Tony D'Angelo, Channing Lorenzo and Troy Donovan
RESULT: Tony D'Angelo, Stacks and Two Dimes won by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Meh. The crowd was super invested. It was energetic. But it was kind of sloppy and would have been much better off as a street fight, as I suggested. Hopefully, it's the worst thing on the card tonight.
NXT Women's Tag Team Championship Match: Toxic Attraction (c) vs. Katana Chance and Kayden Carter
RESULT: Toxic Attraction retained by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Skip it and you won't have missed anything. It was a super generic match that left much to the imagination.
NXT North American Championship Match: Cameron Grimes (c) vs. Carmelo Hayes
RESULT: Carmelo Hayes won the title by pinfall!THOUGHTS: A fine enough match, but nothing you have to go back and check out. This is the third title to change hands and then go back to the former champion in NXT this year alone. Weird that that keeps happening. Grimes needs to go to the main roster. Big fan of Hayes, but I was hoping he'd be the one to beat Breakker and not shackled by the midcard belt.
NXT Women's Championship Match: Mandy Rose (c) vs. Wendy Choo
RESULT: Mandy Rose retained the title by pinfall
THOUGHTS: Wendy Choo isn't the only one falling asleep around here. Okay, that's a little mean. But this was yet again another generic match with nothing exciting about it.
NXT Tag Team Championship Match: Pretty Deadly (c) vs. The Creed Brothers
RESULT: The Creed Brothers win the belts by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Definitely the best match so far. I'm glad they won the titles, too.
NXT Championship Match: Bron Breakker (c) vs. Joe Gacy
RESULT: Bron Breakker retained the title by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: As meaningful as I thought it would be. And that's not a compliment. This never should have been a follow-up feud. The most interesting part was the last two minutes or so. Leading up to that point was forgettable.
