Welcome to another edition of WOMEN'S WRESTLING WEEKLY—a rundown of the events which have transpired in the world of women's professional wrestling over the past several days not just with the Superstars on WWE programming, but with Impact Wrestling's Knockouts, ROH's Women of Honor, and even a glimpse at the women on the independent circuit.
WWE Monday Night Raw
Dana Brooke vs Nikki A.S.H.
Both women deserve more than this 24/7 Championship bullshit. A waste of my time, and that of both women. Although Dana Brooke won in the ring, she dis not walk away from the show with the belt.
Winner: Dana Brooke
Rating: 1.5/5
Rhea Ripley, Becky Lynch, & Sonya Deville vs Liv Morgan, Asuka, & Bianca Belair
As far as multi-women matches go on Raw, this was a fantastic attempt at creating a strong narrative around the WWE Raw Women's Championship. Despite Sonya Deville still carrying the stink of her authority figure character, this was fun and entertaining to watch.
Winner: Liv Morgan, Asuka, & Bianca Belair
Rating: 3/5
AEW Dark: Elevation
Julia Hart vs Abby Jane
Squash City!
Winner: Julia Hart
Rating: 2/5
Willow Nightingale vs Gia Scott
Squash City!
Winner: Willow Nightingale
Rating: 2/5
Anna Jay & Kris Statlander vs Emi Sakura & Nyla Rose
A slow and plodding mess, this was not a fun watch at all!
Winner: Anna Jay & Kris Statlander
Rating: 1.5/5
WWE NXT 2.0: Spring Breakin'
Cora Jade & Nikkita Lyons vs Natalya & Lash Legend
I was very happy to see Natalya lose here, which was the correct decision overall. Unfortunately, the quality of the match didn't carry the importance that Spring Breakin' deserved.
Winner: Cora Jade & Nikkita Lyons
Rating: 2/5
AEW Dark
Julia Hart vs Jacey Love
Squash City!
Winner: Jacey Love
Rating: 2/5
Toni Storm vs Diamante
This was a fantastic main event, with Toni Storm finally evidencing her undoubted talent. Diamante shone too, but this was all about Storm.
Winner: Toni Storm
Rating: 3.5/5
AEW Wednesday Night Dynamite
Mercedes Martinez vs Deonna Purrazzo
The ROH Women's Championship was unified here, allowing Mercedes Martinez to gain a level of legitimacy I thought impossible following her NXT release. Deonna Purrazzo's AEW debut was solid, but she was overshadowed by Martinez.
Winner: Mercedes Martinez
Rating: 3.5/5
Impact Wrestling
There we no matches this week.
WWE NXT UK
Meiko Satomura vs Isla Dawn
World of Darkness? More like World of Disappointment!
Winner: Meiko Satomura
Rating: 1/5
WWE Friday Night SmackDown
Sasha Banks vs Shayna Baszler
A fair contest, but Shayna Baszler winning means nearly nothing these days, making Sasha Banks look weak in the process.
Winner: Shayna Baszler
Rating: 2/5
WWE NXT Level Up
Tatum Paxley & Ivy Nile vs Erica Yan & Sarray
Squash City!
Winner: Tatum Paxley & Ivy Nile
Rating: 2/5
Sloane Jacobs vs Thea Hail
Squash City!
Winner: Sloane Jacobs
Rating: 2/5
AEW Rampage
Britt Baker & Jamie Hayter vs Toni Storm & Ruby Soho
Both teams worked hard here, with Britt Baker and Toni Storm carrying the match. Although Baker is no longer the AEW Women's World Champion, it still means the world when she is beaten. Storm benefitted so much from this victory.
Winner: Toni Storm & Ruby Soho
Rating: 3/5
Riho vs Yuka Sakazaki
Squash City!
Winner: Riho
Rating: 2/5
WWE WrestleMania Backlash 2022
Charlotte Flair vs Ronda Rousey
This was a much better match than their encounter at WrestleMania, however, Charlotte Flair's utter lack of competent selling here means Ronda Rousey's WWE SmackDown Women's Championship victory feels somewhat hollow.
Winner: Ronda Rousey
Rating: 2.5/5
MATCH OF THE WEEK:
Toni Storm vs Diamante
Toni Storm vs Diamante was a refreshing match to remind everyone that AEW Dark can indeed feature some solid wrestling.
WOMAN OF THE WEEK:
