The WWE NXT North American Championship has changed hands as Cameron Grimes won the Fatal 5-Way ladder match to win the title at NXT Stand & Deliver 2022 on April 2, 2022.
My immediate reaction: While I was split between Grimes and Hayes, and even was leaning toward Hayes here, I'm glad Grimes captured the title. That was the better story and this protects Hayes from a normal loss while giving the fans something to pop to.
