WWE NXT Stand & Deliver 2022 Results |
Kickoff - NXT Women's Tag Team Championship Match: Toxic Attraction (c) vs. Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez
THOUGHTS: Solid enough kickoff match. I'm glad Wendy Choo factored into the finish so that worked with the storyline, and while I want Kai and Gonzalez to go to the main roster, I'm down for them having a proper tag title reign, too.
NXT North American Championship Ladder Match: Carmelo Hayes (c)
vs. Grayson Waller vs. Solo Sikoa vs. Santos Escobar vs. (A-Kid,
Cameron Grimes or Roderick Strong)
RESULT: Cameron Grimes is your new champion!
THOUGHTS: Rock solid opener and I'm glad to see Grimes as champion.
Tommaso Ciampa vs. Tony D'Angelo
THOUGHTS: Decent match, though the ending was flat. I loved Triple H coming out for Ciampa's sendoff, though.
NXT Tag Team Championship Triple Threat Match: Imperium (c) vs. MSK vs. The Creed Brothers
RESULT: MSK won the titles by pinfall!
THOUGHTS: Wow. I thought The Creed Brothers had this for sure. Fun match, but it felt short.
NXT Women's Championship Fatal 4-Way Match: Mandy Rose (c) vs. Cora Jade vs. Io Shirai vs. Kay Lee Ray
THOUGHTS: Bland. I kind of figured Rose would retain and I was hoping at least the match would keep my attention, but this was the worst of the night, easily. I like the new title belt, though.
GUNTHER vs. LA Knight
THOUGHTS: I have nothing to say. This was generic.
NXT Championship Match: Dolph Ziggler (c) vs. Bron Breakker
RESULT: Dolph Ziggler retained the title by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Holy shit, I didn't see that finish coming. This was a good match, but more than anything, I'm really curious why they chose to keep the belt on Ziggler.
