WWE Power Rankings Top 10 Superstars This Week: #384 - A Couple Of Royal Fumbles

Posted by Callum Wiggins Saturday, February 5, 2022

Welcome to another edition of POWER RANKINGS from Smark Out Moment! Each week, we will break down the current roster and examine who has gone up the WWE hierarchy and who has unfortunately taken a step down the ladder. Factoring in things such as wins and losses, suspensions, injuries, making a name for oneself, being humiliated, and more, who is at the top of the food chain and who needs to make up some ground next week?

Here is the key code for the rankings shorthand when referencing their position in relation to the previous week:

NR = Not included in last week's rankings at all

+ Green = the number of moves up in the rankings compared to last week

- Red = the number of moves down in the rankings compared to last week

Honorable Mentions = five superstars who just barely missed the cut

Power Ranking WWE wrestlers list roster

10. Sheamus & Ridge Holland [No Change]

While neither Sheamus nor Ridge Holland found success in the Royal Rumble match, they found success as a team on SmackDown. After Holland lost one-on-one to Ricochet, Sheamus & Holland defeated Cesaro & Ricochet in an impromptu tag match.

9. Edge & Beth Phoenix [NR]

In a battle of married couples at Royal Rumble, the 'Grit Couple' Edge & Beth Phoenix were victorious over the 'It Couple' Miz & Maryse.

8. RK-Bro [NR]

Raw featured a plethora of qualifying matches for the upcoming Elimination Chamber match in sweet Saudi Arabia. Riddle, despite losing a scooter race to Chad Gable, secured a spot in the match by defeating Otis.

7. AJ Styles [NR]

AJ Styles also advanced into the Elimination Chamber match by winning in Raw's main event over Rey Mysterio, a dream match between two iconic stars that lived up to the billing.

6. Austin Theory [NR]

In the final qualifying match, Austin Theory picked up the biggest win of his Raw career so far by beating Kevin Owens, joining a top-level list of competitors battling for the WWE Championship inside the Elimination Chamber.

5. The Usos [No Change]

In a very short match on SmackDown, Jimmy Uso defeated Erik, sending a message to The Usos' upcoming SmackDown Tag Team Championship opponents.

4. Becky Lynch [NR]

Becky Lynch predictably overcame Doudrop at Royal Rumble to retain her Raw Women's Championship. However, while she has seemingly avoided a match with Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania, Lynch will be facing a former champion at Elimination Chamber in Lita.

3. Ronda Rousey [NR]

Making her first appearance in a WWE ring since WrestleMania 35, Ronda Rousey entered and won the 2022 Women's Royal Rumble, last eliminating SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair. Rousey then challenged Flair on Friday's SmackDown for the main event of WrestleMania 38.

2. Brock Lesnar [-1]

Royal Rumble was a polarizing night for Brock Lesnar. Midway through the show, Lesnar lost his WWE Championship to Bobby Lashley, due to interference by Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman's betrayal. But, by the end of the night, Lesnar had won his second Royal Rumble match, meaning he will challenge Reigns for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania.

1. The Hurt Business [+1]

Bobby Lashley became a two-time WWE Champion at Royal Rumble after slaying Brock Lesnar, thanks to timely outside interference. But Lashley's first title defense won't be a walkover, as he'll be battling Lesnar, Seth Rollins, AJ Styles, Riddle and Austin Theory inside the Elimination Chamber.

HONORABLE MENTIONS

Rhea Ripley - Despite failing to win the Royal Rumble, Rhea Ripley was able to finally beat her former tag partner Nikki ASH fairly comfortably on Raw.

Imperium - In NXT 2.0's opening match, the combined forces of Imperium overcame Diamond Mine in a Six-Man Tag.

Bron Breakker - Meanwhile in NXT 2.0's main event, NXT Champion Bron Breakker teamed with Tommaso Ciampa to beat Legado del Fantasma.

Aliyah - Aliyah scored a third straight win over Natalya on SmackDown, this time via a count out.

The New Day - Now reunited with Big E on the SmackDown brand, The New Day got a win over Los Lotharios on Friday night.

The Power Rankings Table (since WrestleMania 37)

  1. Roman Reigns - 34 weeks (8 weeks at #1)
