Welcome to another edition of WOMEN'S WRESTLING WEEKLY—a rundown of the events which have transpired in the world of women's professional wrestling over the past several days not just with the Superstars on WWE programming, but with Impact Wrestling's Knockouts, ROH's Women of Honor, and even a glimpse at the women on the independent circuit.
WWE Monday Night Raw
Rhea Ripley vs Nikki A.S.H.
On this week's Battle of the Brands, I noted that Raw lost points for still giving me no reason to care about Rhea Ripley vs Nikki A.S.H. at all. This match was just garbage!
Winner: Rhea Ripley
Rating: 1.5/5
Bianca Belair vs Carmella
Squash City! Bianca Belair deserves much better than this!
Winner: Bianca Belair
Rating: 2/5
AEW Dark: Elevation
Kilynn King vs Brandi Rhodes
Squash City!
Winner: Brandi Rhodes
Rating: 2/5
Anna Jay vs Nikki Victory
Squash City!
Winner: Anna Jay
Rating: 2/5
Thunder Rosa & Ruby Soho vs Joseline Navarro & Megan Meyers
Squash City!
Winner: Thunder Rosa & Ruby Soho
Rating: 2/5
WWE NXT 2.0
Raquel Gonzalez vs Cora Jade
This was a fair contest, with both women coming across as solid wrestlers. Despite the time afforded to the contest, there was a real lack of excitement, but overall, this was decent enough.
Winner: Raquel Gonzalez
Rating: 2.5/5
Sarray vs Kayla Inlay
Squash City!
Winner: Sarray
Rating: 2/5
Wendy Choo vs Amari Miller
Squash City!
Winner: Wendy Choo
Rating: 2/5
AEW Dark
Penelope Ford vs Angelica Risk
Squash City!
Winner: Penelope Ford
Rating: 2/5
Marina Shafir vs Reka Tehaka
A very bumbling and awkward layout to the match meant this offering severely disappointed me.
Winner: Reka Tehaka
Rating: 1.5/5
Kiera Hogan vs Mazzerati
Squash City!
Winner: Kiera Hogan
Rating: 2/5
AEW Wednesday Night Dynamite
Ruby Soho vs Nyla Rose
A big problem with recent episodes of Dynamite is the lack of real excitement with the women's matches, and once again, this week's offering disappointed. Yes, there is some level of a storyline here, but the match quality just was not there.
Winner: Nyla Rose
Rating: 2.5/5
Impact Wrestling
Masha Slamovich vs Kaci Lennox
Squash City!
Winner: Masha Slamovich
Rating: 2/5
WWE NXT UK
Isla Dawn vs Myla Grace
Squash City!
Winner: Isla Dawn
Rating: 2/5
Meiko Satomura vs Blair Davenport
For a Japanese Street Fight, this was a fair enough match, allowing Blair Davenport to at least look like a legitimate threat to Meiko Satomura. Unfortunately, a referee stoppage is not the best way to end such a match, as it doesn't really benefit either individual.
Winner: Meiko Satomura
Rating: 3/5
WWE Main Event
Liv Morgan vs Doudrop
This was not really a match that made much of an impression on me, I must admit. It almost felt as though they had nothing better to do, which is a real shame as we start The Road to WrestleMania.
Winner: Liv Morgan
Rating: 2/5
WWE Friday Night SmackDown
Aliyah vs Natalya
Severely underwhelming. Was a countout decision really the best way to extend this feud? With each week that goes by, Aliyah looks less likely to become a permanent fixture of WWE television, despite the fact she has been with the company for what seems like an eternity.
Winner: Aliyah (via Countout)
Rating: 1.5/5
AEW Rampage
Mercedes Martinez vs. Thunder Rosa
Thunder Rosa starred again, as she does almost every time she enters a wrestling ring. Mercedes Martinez does not inspire the same confidence, and her offense this week just did not look crisp.
Winner: Thunder Rosa
Rating: 2.5/5
MATCH OF THE WEEK:
Meiko Satomura vs Blair Davenport
Poor finish aside, this was a fairly entertaining romp.
WOMAN OF THE WEEK:
Ronda Rousey
Making her presence felt over Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair, Ronda Rousey was simply stunning to watch this week.
