Welcome to another edition of CALL THE SPOT ON THE CARD, where we present a list of wrestlers and you must choose what place on the WWE Roster Hierarchy they should be put in: 1) Main Event, 2) Upper Midcard, 3) Midcard, 4) Jobber, or 5) Released (or any alternative extra categories that may be added for bigger lists).
The rules are that each spot must be filled and only one person can be in each spot, so no ties can happen, nor can anyone opt out. No matter how difficult it might be, you have to pick.
This edition will focus on the Superstars competing in the WWE Elimination Chamber 2022 cage matches.
WWE CHAMPIONSHIP RAW ELIMINATION CHAMBER MATCH
AJ Styles vs. Austin Theory vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Brock Lesnar vs. Riddle vs. Seth Rollins
6) RELEASED = Austin Theory
I think Theory has a bright future ahead of him. Ideally, I'd like to see him reach John Cena levels. But if you're looking at this list and trying to determine who would be the least of a hit to take to release, he just fits the bill. WWE is in need of MORE established stars, rather than less. While this would nix one of the people you're building for the future—something else WWE needs more of, desperately—that's a "then" problem, not a "now" problem.
5) JOBBER = Seth Rollins
Out of this foursome that is left, he's the most believable to be a jobber and pull it off without ruining someone else's mystique or casting Riddle in that spot and not building him to the future.
I can imagine Rollins losing and complaining. Can't you?
4) MIDCARD = Riddle
As much as I wanted to put him higher, the others just take priority. Riddle's someone you can put in the midcard with the promise of more and something higher down the line while you can still get everything you can out of these other three.
3) UPPER MIDCARD = AJ Styles
Babyfaces can work the upper-midcard better than heels because they're all about the chase. Styles is a worker. He knows how to pull this off and can even be used to elevate stars while still working against the other main event talent like himself.
2) MAIN EVENT = Bobby Lashley
This has been the best two years of Lashley's career. Let's continue to ride that wave.
1) HALL OF FAME = Brock Lesnar
Out of this group, Lesnar's the one with the most accomplishments who absolutely would need to go into the Hall of Fame if only one of them could do it right now. Plus, with this comes the implication that their career is in a position where they aren't wrestling every week like a regular member of the roster. In that scenario, what's different from Lesnar as is, compared to downgrading one of the others to a part-time basis?
WOMEN'S NO. 1 CONTENDER'S RAW ELIMINATION CHAMBER MATCH
Alexa Bliss vs. Bianca Belair vs. Doudrop vs. Liv Morgan vs. Nikki A.S.H. vs. Rhea Ripley
6) RELEASED = Doudrop
I wouldn't want to see her as a jobber, but I have to prioritize some of the others over her, so this is the only other option for her on my list.
5) JOBBER = Nikki A.S.H.
With the superhero gimmick, having her as a jobber makes the most sense. She can lose and still be an interesting enough character.
4) MIDCARD = Liv Morgan
She's made a lot of progress, but I don't think she takes priority over the others. Plus, if she's an underdog, people can continue to get behind her. If she reaches the mountain top, wouldn't that kill some of the fun?
3) UPPER MIDCARD = Alexa Bliss
The peak years for Bliss are likely over. She's accomplished a ton and I've been a huge fan of her from the start when she was even doing the Tinkerbell type gimmick in NXT prior to Blake and Murphy. At this stage of her career, though, I think she's reached a point where she's better served as a temporary main event person who can put over newer stars, rather than being the focal point herself.
2) MAIN EVENT = Rhea Ripley
How is this woman not in a better spot? How has she not had a stronger title reign and is just a guaranteed top star 24/7?
1) HALL OF FAME = Bianca Belair
WHO WOULD YOU PUT IN WHICH SPOTS?
