WWE Title Change: NXT North American Championship & Cruiserweight Championship Unified New Year's Evil 2022 | Smark Out Moment

The WWE NXT North American Championship and NXT Cruiserweight Championship have been unified as Carmelo Hayes defeated Roderick Strong at NXT New Year's Evil on January 4, 2022 to merge the belts.

My immediate reaction: NXT North American Cruiserweight Championship is a dumb idea and I really hope they don't do that. Getting rid of the cruiserweight division felt like it was a long time coming. Now, let's rename 205 Live "NXT Evolve" and take the next step.

Since this happened, be sure to check out the updated full list of title changes for this year and the list of current champions and my predictions for who will take the belts away from them.
