- January 5 - WWE released William Regal, Road Dogg and others behind the scenes, as well as Timothy Thatcher, Hachiman, Danny Burch, Cathy Corino and probably more to be announced.
- January 6 - Samoa Joe was released
January 16 - Mustafa Ali requested his release, but wasn't granted it- February 1 - Brian Kendrick was finally granted his release he had requested weeks prior
- February 1 - Shane McMahon was let go from WWE
- February 24 - Cesaro has not signed a new contract
- April 6 - Nash Carter was released
- April 18 - Kushida was moved to the WWE alumni section
- April 29 - WWE releases Malcolm Bivens, Dakota Kai, Harland, Persia Pirotta, referee Blair Baldwin, Draco Anthony, Raelyn Divine, Vish Kenya, Mila Malani, and Dexter Lumis from NXT
- (PENDING) May 2 - It was reported that Roderick Strong had requested his release, though he has yet to have been let go.
- May 6 - Candice LeRae was moved to the alumni section
- June 12 - Troy "Two Dimes" Donovan was released
- July 8 - Paige is no longer with WWE
- July 22 - Vince McMahon has retired from WWE
- August 18 - NXT UK took a hit when Amale, Ashton Smith, Dani Luna, Dave Mastiff, Emilia McKenzie, Flash Morgan Webster, Jack Starz, Kenny Williams, Mark Andrews, Nina Samuels, Primate Jay Melrose, Rohan Raja, Sam Gradwell, Sha Samuels, and Wild Boar Mike Hitchman were released. Then, it seemed Eddie Dennis, Saxon Huxley, Sid Scala, Trent Seven, Tyson T-Bone, Xia Brookside and possibly Eliza Alexander and Myla Grace, if not others, were also released.
- August 22 - Jeff Jarrett was released from his role as Senior Vice President of Live Events
- September 8 - Jinny, Johnny Saint and Rampage Brown were moved to the alumni section, seemingly indicating they've also been released. We're still waiting on confirmation one way or another for the rest of the NXT UK talent that hasn't been on screen since the brand ended, such as Aleah James, Noam Dar, and Stevie Turner
- November 1 - Releases include Bodhi Hayward, Damaris Griffin (D-Griff), Eka Brown, Erica Yan, Ru Feng, and Sloane Jacobs
- November 30 - Confirmation that Quetzalli Bulnes was released after an incident at a live event in Mexico several weeks back
- December 12 - KAYFABE - Bobby Lashley was "fired" by Adam Pearce as part of a storyline on Monday Night Raw.
