WWE Crown Jewel 2022 Spoilers |
Undisputed WWE Universal Championship Match: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Logan Paul
No way in hell Logan Paul wins the title. If that were to happen, kiss this good will of The New Triple H Regime goodbye. Fans wouldn't be receptive to that at all. I think this is just a means to have a big marquee media-coverage match to get people buzzing and to put something out there far enough in advance that you can get away with not having Reigns defend the title at Extreme Rules.
PREDICTION: Roman Reigns retains.
Bobby Lashley vs. Brock Lesnar
This will be the third time they fought each other this year. The glass half full fans are saying "Oh man! I can't wait to see them with the gloves off" even though they did their one-on-one before already. I'm more of the opinion that we've already seen what they have to offer and that this should have been a gimmick match. If this were a Fight Pit or something to spice it up, I would care more. Just rerunning Royal Rumble, though? Well, it could be worse, but that's not a justifiable reason for me to be all giddy about it. This seems like low effort, if I'm honest.
PREDICTION: Brock Lesnar wins.
Six-Man Tag Team Match: The Judgment Day (Damian Priest, Dominik Mysterio and Finn Balor) vs. The O.C. (AJ Styles, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows)
Sure. It'll be okay, but nothing special or noteworthy. Since there are no stakes, either team could win and it wouldn't truly matter, so I'll just go with The O.C. since The Good Brothers are fresher and WWE might want to avoid having them lose so quickly.
PREDICTION: The O.C. wins.
Steel Cage Match: Drew McIntyre vs. Karrion Kross
In theory, the steel cage is supposed to keep Scarlett away so she can't interfere. We all know how that works. Nine time out of ten, it works out the opposite way, in that the distraction surrounding keeping them out is exactly what leads to the problem. Therefore, even though McIntyre is the one calling for this match and lost at Extreme Rules, I think he's losing this, too.
PREDICTION: Karrion Kross wins.
Braun Strowman vs. Omos
Someone is getting a downgrade here, unless they plan on doing a nonsense draw finish. If Strowman loses, that kind of kills his push from his return. If Omos loses, that may signify that maybe Triple H isn't as big on him as Vince McMahon was, and he could be on the down turn.
PREDICTION: Braun Strowman wins.
Raw Women's Championship Last Woman Standing Match: Bianca Belair (c) vs. Bayley
It's so good to see the women able to perform on these shows, rather than reverting back to the time when they were banned from being on screen. With that being said, I've seen enough of this feud between Bayley and Belair to want to move past it. I can't imagine Bayley's winning the title, least of all here, and in a Last Woman Standing match that would make Belair look weak for not getting up. This is likely the finale (in singles fashion) where Belair wins definitively and moves on past Bayley after the WarGames match. Then, that will be the end of Damage CTRL versus Belair.
Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship Match: The Usos (c) vs. The Brawling Brutes
The Brawling Brutes will put up a fight, as Butch and Ridge Holland know how to do, but there's no way they're winning the titles. The Usos are keeping those belts until at least WrestleMania. The Bloodline has to look as strong as possible for that season, and won't just give up tag team titles for nothing.
WWE Women's Tag Team Championship Match: Alexa Bliss and Asuka (c) vs. Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky)
Why do I get the sneaking suspicion they only put the tag titles on Bliss and Asuka for the sake of a "gotcha" and the titles are going right back to Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky? This is a lose-lose. If that happens, it all seems pointless. If it doesn't happen, then why are we watching a rematch that we not only saw on Monday night, but also multiple times in the past few months? They need to stop just copying and pasting and thinking if the performers are good, that that's good enough.
More matches will be announced. Stay tuned for additions to the lineup and updates on my predictions and potential spoilers.
