AEW Revolution 2022 Results

BUY-IN:

Kris Statlander vs. Leyla Hirsch

RESULT: Leyla Hirsch won by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Just a match. It was fine.

Hook vs. QT Marshall

RESULT: Hook won by submission.
THOUGHTS: Exactly what it should have been. The rookie has some moments where he isn't on top, but ultimately beats the enhancement talent trainer and continues his progression.

The House of Black (Malakai Black, Brody King and Buddy Matthews) vs. Death Triangle (Pac and Penta Oscuro) and Erick Redbeard

RESULT: The House of Black won by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Again, this was a pre-show match, so they did what they needed to do. It's not something to make or break the event. I have nothing to complain about and nothing to rave about.

MAIN CARD:

Chris Jericho vs. Eddie Kingston

RESULT: Eddie Kingston won by submission.
THOUGHTS: Wow. I had Jericho winning this. I'm especially surprised Kingston won by making Jericho tap out.

Three-Way Tag Team Match for the AEW World Tag Team Championship: Jurassic Express (c) vs. reDRagon vs. The Young Bucks

RESULT: Jurassic Express retained by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Good match, but underwhelming from what I was hoping, if I'm honest. I had higher expectations.

Face of the Revolution Ladder Match: Christian Cage vs. Keith Lee vs. Orange Cassidy vs. Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Ricky Starks vs. Wardlow

RESULT: Wardlow won.
THOUGHTS: Solid match. I enjoyed it from start to finish, with Cassidy being my standout performer.

Tony Schiavone is announcing Shane "Swerve" Strickland to come out for a contract signing.

AEW TBS Championship Match: Jade Cargill (c) vs. Tay Conti

RESULT: Jade Cargill retained by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: All things considered, not bad. Cargill is improving. She looked great with that Mortal Kombat outfit, too.

Dog Collar Match: CM Punk vs. MJF

RESULT: CM Punk won by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Bloody as hell with thumbtacks and Wardlow officially turning babyface. This was a lot of fun.

AEW Women's World Championship Match: Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. (c) vs. Thunder Rosa

RESULT: Britt Baker retained by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: To be honest, I yawned at least 9 times during this match. It wasn't holding my attention.

Bryan Danielson vs. Jon Moxley

RESULT: Jon Moxley won by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Underwhelming for the match itself, but I liked the finish a lot. Also, William Regal!

Tornado Trios Tag Team Match: The Andrade-Hardy Family Office (Andrade El Idolo, Matt Hardy and Isiah Kassidy) vs. Darby Allin, Sammy Guevara and Sting

RESULT: Sammy Guevara, Sting and Darby Allin won by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: The two table spots with Sting and Guevara were the standout moments, along with Allin not getting the Coffin Drop since Hardy wasn't paying attention.

AEW World Championship Match: "Hangman" Adam Page (c) vs. Adam Cole

RESULT: Adam Page retained by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Everything went the way it should have gone, except how you could argue The Young Bucks doing something with reDRagon would have been a much bigger deal than just The Dark Order making the save.
