Wrestling is 20/20: Did CM Punk's Pipe Bomb Help or Hurt WWE, or Accomplish Nothing? | Smark Out Moment

Welcome to another edition of WRESTLING IS 20/20! This segment is a play off the phrase "hindsight is 20/20" wherein we'll be looking at something from the past in professional wrestling history and judging it from modern eyes.

For this entry, since CM Punk just made his debut for AEW on Rampage this past Friday night, we'll be focusing on The Best in the World's infamous pipe bomb promo. At the time, it felt as though it would change things for WWE in monumental ways. Over 10 years later, what were the real ramifications? Were there improvements that came out of this? Did anything change for the worse? Was this completely inconsequential, relatively speaking?
