- The show starts with William Regal talking about how he doesn't think he can be the General Manager anymore. Karrion Kross and Scarlett came out to basically tell him to admit Kross was right in saying he can control NXT through his own form of intimidation and chaos, and that he wants Regal to quit and leave. Samoa Joe then came out and talked with Regal, who offered him the GM spot. Joe turned it down, but suggested an alternative idea where he's basically Regal's enforcer. Regal told him if he does that, he can't be a competitor, and he can only lay his hands on someone if they provoke him. They agreed to those terms.
- Breezango defeated Imperium by pinfall.
- Backstage, Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly were fighting. William Regal told them they can fight in an unsanctioned match at Great American Bash. Samoa Joe choked out Cole and everyone was separated.
- Cruiserweight Championship Open Challenge: Kushida (c) defeated Trey Baxter by submission. Kyle O'Reilly issued a challenge to Kushida for next week.
- LA Knight was presented with the Million Dollar Championship by Ted DiBiase. After cutting a promo about how much he respected and looked up to DiBiase as a kid, Knight punched DiBiase and beat him down until Cameron Grimes made the save.
- Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai defeated Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter by pinfall.
- Io Shirai's promo was interrupted by Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell. After they started fighting, Zoey Stark came out to help Shirai fight off The Way.
- Tornado Tag Team Match: Timothy Thatcher and Tommaso Ciampa defeated Grizzled Young Veterans by submission.
