Here we go again...again. World Wrestling Entertainment has once more released a bunch of people. This is maybe the sixth mass layoff in the past year and a half. No matter how many times this keeps happening and no matter how many times someone says more aren't coming, they just keep piling up.
As of June 25, 2021, the following people have been announced as released by WWE:
- Ariya Daivari
- Chase Parker
- Matt Martel
- Tyler Breeze
- Fandango
- Tony Nese
- August Grey
- Samir Singh
- Sunil Singh
- Arturo Ruas
- Curt Stallion
- Marina Shafir
- Killian Dain
- Tino Sabbatelli
My reaction: I'll be breaking down my individual thoughts on the Hot Tags podcast for the week. Generally speaking, I hate this every single time it happens, and the more they keep releasing people and claiming budget cuts are the reason, the more I question what the real reasoning is. You can't keep saying you're running into budget problems while you keep making more and more money, and then act like you are a family and not just a business solely interested in squeezing out every single penny at the expense of the people working for you. This has been a horrendous year for WWE morale and the company just keeps digging itself into deeper ditches.
