WWE NXT TakeOver: In Your House 2021 Spoilers and Predictions |
NXT Championship Fatal 5-Way Match: Karrion Kross (c) vs. Adam Cole vs. Pete Dunne vs. Johnny Gargano vs. Kyle O'Reilly
Curious. This is strange. At face value, it makes me think they figured nobody has the credibility to go up against Kross one-on-one, so they just wanted to throw a bunch of names in the mix to boost the star power by a big margin. However, whether I'm overthinking it or not, I'm starting to imagine this may have been booked so Kross can lose the title without being pinned.
Think about it. WWE seems to be in the mindset to put people on the main roster. Maybe Kross is one of those guys. Keith Lee won the title and quickly went to Raw, so it's not like it hasn't been done. This would effectively reset the division with one of these guys winning and Kross doesn't have to lose anything.
PREDICTION: Kyle O'Reilly wins. Shot in the dark.
NXT Women's Championship Match: Raquel Gonzalez (c) vs. Ember Moon
No way in hell is Moon winning the title. This is a situation where she's a former champion who can look like a viable contender on paper, but we all know she's being fed.
That's okay, too. The more people Gonzalez beats like that, the better her reign will be.
It's not the most interesting match imaginable, but it'll suffice.
Million Dollar Championship Ladder Match: Cameron Grimes vs. LA Knight
This isn't just for the love and admiration of Ted DiBiase anymore. Now, it's a ladder match with the Million Dollar Championship on the line. That's so nuts. I never would have imagined this would be on the card.
While I don't think either of these guys should be the next people to carry that championship, I think this is so bonkers that I love it. Plus, ladder matches are inherently fun.
Mercedes Martinez vs. Xia Li
I'm a big fan of how they called back to their previous match in the Mae Young Classic as inspiration for this feud. Whenever WWE remembers history like that and can incorporate it into a reason why someone is upset at someone else, it comes off so much more realistic.
The situation is quite different now, though. Instead of Li getting embarrassed, I think the point of this is for Martinez to work with her and pass on some knowledge and put her over. Sign me up. This should be a fun match.
Winner Takes All Match for the NXT Tag Team Championship and North American Championship: Bronson Reed (c) and MSK (c) vs. Legado del Fantasma
This is a neat way of going about doing things. You get both titles on the card but you don't have to have twice the amount of time dedicated to a second match. These guys have all been working together, so it has a proper setup for it, too.
Lots of wins here. As far as who is going to win, I'm thinking the belts stay where they are. I wouldn't be opposed to the belts changing hands, though, as I'm a big fan of Legado del Fantasma.
