AEW Title Change: New AEW Women's World Champion Crowned at Double or Nothing 2021 | Smark Out Moment

The AEW Women's World Championship has changed hands as Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. defeated Hikaru Shida to win the title at Double or Nothing 2021 on May 30, 2021.

My immediate reaction: For months, this has been the most obvious direction for the title. Just because it was predictable doesn't mean it was the wrong move, though. Baker's been taking up lots of screen time and if you can put the belt on her, you kill two birds with one stone. It just makes sense.

Since this happened, be sure to check out the updated full list of title changes for this year and the list of current champions and my predictions for who will take the belts away from them.
