WWE Title Change: NXT Cruiserweight Championship Unified at TakeOver: Stand & Deliver | Smark Out Moment

After Santos Escobar won the Interim NXT Cruiserweight Championship, it was clear he would have to face Jordan Devlin down the line to settle who is the one true champion. This unification took place at TakeOver: Stand & Deliver on April 8, 2021 in a ladder match which saw Escobar climb up and retrieve the titles to be declared the recognized champion going forward.

My immediate reaction: I'm very glad they were able to have a proper unification match. If Devlin had just been stripped of it after so long, or if Escobar had lost it prior to this, I don't think that would have done the situation justice. I was rooting for Escobar to be the champion going forward, so I'm very happy he won this.

Since this happened, be sure to check out the updated full list of title changes for this year and the list of current champions and my predictions for who will take the belts away from them.
