The WWE United States Championship has changed hands as Matt Riddle defeated Bobby Lashley and John Morrison to win the title at the WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view on February 21, 2021.
My immediate reaction: Very surprised about this. They had Riddle lose multiple attempts just for him to win a match that has a replacement third competitor? Strange. I wonder if the reasoning behind this was that WWE wants to do Riddle against Keith Lee at WrestleMania instead of Lashley against Lee.
