RESULT: Hikaru Shida and Thunder Rosa won by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: I didn't see the match. I doubt I missed much, though. It was probably fine, but forgettable.
MJF vs. Darby Allin
RESULT: MJF won by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Fantastic opening match! This is on my list of the best matches of the year. I loved the ending of it, in particular, with MJF winning by a side headlock pin after using the Dynamite diamond ring.
AEW World Tag Team Championship Match: The Lucha Bros (c) vs. FTR
RESULT: The Lucha Bros retained by pinfall.THOUGHTS: Not as good as the previous match for my personal tastes, but another very good match, for sure.
AEW World Championship Eliminator Tournament Final: Bryan Danielson vs. Miro
RESULT: Bryan Danielson won by submission.
THOUGHTS: Yet another great match.
Falls Count Anywhere Match: Superkliq vs. Christian Cage and Jurassic Express
RESULT: Christian Cage and Jurassic Express won by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Hell of a match! I loved it.
Cody Rhodes and Pac vs. Andrade El Idolo and Malakai Black
RESULT: Cody Rhodes and Pac won by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Big downgrade from the previous matches. This was hard to keep my attention.
AEW Women's World Championship Match: Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. (c) vs. Tay Conti
RESULT: Dr. Britt Baker retained by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Better than the previous match, for sure, but admittedly not as good as some of the other things we've been seeing on this show. Still a good match, though, don't get me wrong.
CM Punk vs. Eddie Kingston
RESULT: CM Punk won by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Maybe Punk's best match so far in AEW? Not as good as the first few matches, but it had a different feel and I'm cool with it.
Minneapolis Street Fight: The Inner Circle vs. American Top Team and Men of the Year
RESULT: The Inner Circle won by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: I enjoyed the Falls Count Anywhere match more, but I still enjoyed this for what it was worth.
AEW World Championship Match: Kenny Omega (c) vs. Hangman Adam Page
RESULT: Adam Page won the title by pinfall!
THOUGHTS: This is how long-term storytelling is actually done, WWE. This was set up from the very announcement of AEW existing, essentially, and they pulled it off. Great match and a great job from all parties.
